Do you miss the America you grew up in, the proud country our parents, teachers & neighbors taught us to love, respect & cherish? E.M. Mihal's "THE RIGHT FILM CHANNEL" is dedicated to preserving our memories in the form of old family films & the history of this great country thru vintage & antique educational films that testify to a history before the revisionists began to change it. I have been digitizing & preserving vintage & antique celluloid film in the form of, Mom & Pop amateur, public domain, educational films & Hollywood features for about 12 years. Much of the rare material I post cannot be found anyplace else, I provide these films here for education, study & enjoyment free of charge. I do however charge a stock footage fee for material intended use in your own production. If you love America and wish to preserve its rapidly disappearing history as I do, please consider making a donation. Thank you for watching. Officeofimagearchaeology.com
With a single engine an, F-106 did MACH 2.4. I know that for a fact because I worked NORAD Defense radar operation controlling interceptors from 1976 thru 1980 and I watched them on radar, off the California coast going that fast after overhauls. They could also carry nuclear missiles and take off going straight up once it got to take off speed and the landing gear was closed up.
It is very impressive to see how US pilots were equipped and housed almost 60 years ago in order to be able to carry out their duties. I joined the German Air Force in 1979 and eventually became a flight engineer and navigator on the Huey. In Vietnam, I would probably have had the task of searching for, finding and rescuing pilots whose missions had not gone so well. In fact, I took part in 1200 civilian rescue missions in Germany, but also in a few military missions, when fighter planes of my own or friendly nations crashed. Fortunately, I can say that this all happened in peacetime. Today I am long retired and live in Panama.
I wonder if the people who created this video (especially the line "their children will use the computer with the same ease we now exhibit when turning on a light"), and the people in it, thought their video would ever be being watched by thousands of people all over the world on desktop computers in their homes, and on handheld devices they carry with them, people from the ages of 5 to 95.
Great stuff! Question: Do you know the location of the storefront at the :34 mark? I ask as currently the CMO of a retail mall that is operating out of one of the 1929 buildings. Locally, it's been a bear to track down vintage photos and would love to try and gather up any and all that may be floating around out here in cyber land. The location I speak of is on the downtown square in Harrison, Arkansas and operating under the name of "Commerce Mall".. I can save that story for another day ;) Thanks for any and all help you may be able to share.
HOW WOULD THE WITNESSES HAVE FARED DURING THESE HEARINGS IF RTHEY HAD SAID, I AM NOT A COMMUNIST OR EVEN MAXIST, BUT I BELIEVE THAT HEALTH, SHELTER AND EDUCATION ARE HUMAN RIGHTS? THESE IDIOTS THOUGH BEING HUMANE WAS BEING A COMMUNIST. THE DEFINITION OF COMMUNISM IS A BIG BLACK WHOLE IN THEIR UNLETTERED MINDS.
Thank you for your service. Sorry that you lost so many of your fellow squadron pilots, of course Vietnam was a disaster both LBJ (who was a power-hungry moron) and McNamara who was completely incompetent should have been put in jail for war crimes, oh I forgot It wasn't a war It was a "conflict". My dad flew the RF 101 and I think you got him at least a hundred missions in maybe more.
Oh my gosh. He is so right about movie rules.. 😅 That is why I don't watch the trash movies they put out these days. Long live the classic movies!! Clean. No swearing. No sex. Has humor. Great dialogue. Actors can really act. And most of all, just good fun... really enjoyable movies! 🙌
Absolutely! I will not watch a movie produced after 2008. I don’t watch any television. I don’t even have any streaming services only a local antenna on the roof. I have tons of old DVDs and a few decent VHS but that’s it. God bless and thank you for watching.
When I was a little kid my dad worked at a hospital which had been part of a WWII Naval Auxiliary Air Station - about `130 miles due east of San Diego The former NAAS Holtville was put on caretaker status in December 1945. In the early 1950'a I was with my Mom going to pick up my Dad from work (Back then the two car family was quite rare)....... We passed a Douglas AD Skyraider which had crashed accross the road leading to the old air station. I really wanted her to stop so I could get the clock out of the airplane. She said no because "there might be a bomb in it."........... FFF CDR USNR (ret.)
Chuck ended up working in construction as a labourer, but he lived machines, his AF training taught him how to fix the electrical stuff and he became a Caterpillar engineer, earning a huge wage and travelling the country in a company car.. he just needed to find something he liked doing
My Great Grand Aunt was evicted from Chavez Ravine to the periphery of Bunker Hill in the late 1950s. I remember visiting her and her room-made (room-made was the owner of that Chavez Ravine home both shared as my Great Grand Aunt was a tenant and both were elderly ladies).
There is just something eerie about some of the photos from the era when I was young. It almost feels like one is actually stepping back into the past. The photo with the 58 Pontiac and 57 Ford during a parade made me feel like I was actually watching it in real time. Sadly, parades are almost a thing of the past. I grew up in the 50s and 60s, so this was what life looked like to me. I will be checking back quite often.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. Have been doing this for about 20 years and have digitally preserved a very large selection of old photographs negatives and Films. I’ve always concentrated pretty much on the films for RU-vid, but with this video, I’ve decided to start creating some slideshow out of some of those great old photographs. I’m glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching.
Thank you kindly, very glad that you enjoyed it and thank you for watching. With over 1000 films on this channel alone I don’t doubt there’s probably a lot more that you enjoy. Have a great day.
Ahh natsukashii. From there. I remember when the girls could surf, no pilikea, before surfing craze. Toyo's Superette, if went quick pick up grocery shopping for mom, I could get tomo ame, too!
It's good to see your work again! I enjoyed this immensely. Thank you for the images of Sacramento as it once was & as I remember it. Reno has certainly changed! I loved seeing Wills Point in Sacramento, I loved swimming there. More please! 🎥🎉
Hello there young lady, it's nice to hear from you. I'm so glad you liked the video. I am sorry for being MIA but it has been difficult to keep up on all of my obligations. It also seems that as I get older the finely detailed scripts I used to write for many of my videos seems to get harder to produce. Unfortunately my creativity has been on the decline over the last year and Im finding that the narrated videos I enjoy producing are becoming almost impossible to produce. Where was Wills Point?
Why am I sad? Maybe Debussy did it towards the end… Or maybe, just maybe knowing I will never see this kind of simple life😢 They didn’t know how lucky they were.
Yes, while Clair de Lune is beautifully relaxing it can also be sad. I use it here in an effort to cause the watcher to reflect on the past, the people and the world as it once was. Thank you for watching.
Hi CJ, I know you like this kind of thing. I've been very busy on other projects hand have had no time for youtube. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
