I have no doubt China can make technological marvels. The question to ask is once they rule the world what happens to free speech and ones ability to disagree with the CCP? What happens to your financial well being and the people around you? I do not see a good outcome down the line.
The Chinese will have to get their price below $10k because Tesla is coming in at $15k. I would rather have a Tesla product than anything from China because I have more confidence in capability, warranty, product durability, future proofing and the Tesla company itself.
I can't believe a Japanese sleeps with robots fall in love and marries an artificial that's not normal. It's only a program that a human wrote as a code this world is getting more depressing. We thought it was sad in the US with the polygamy .
There's people now that worry about robots taking over a lot of jobs, and it's a well founded anxiety. Here's the thing: back in the 1990s, Toyota realised that they could automate most, if not all of their production line, which would cut out 70-80% of their production workforce, making it cheaper for them. But they quickly realised that most of the Toyota village would have to move away, and that if other industry adopted the same model, then mass population wouldn't have enough money to buy their products. Think about it: they can make robots to replace the people who work at the factory that sends their products to the warehouse. The warehouse can replace the people who work there, and distribute the products to the shops in the towns and cities. They can replace the staff in the shops with robots such as self service checkouts. In these towns and cities, they have hotels and restaurants, which they can replace various workers with robots. However, most of the people who worked in the factory, the warehouse, the shops, and the hotels and restaurants no longer have jobs. This means that they can't afford to buy anything but the cheapest food from the shops, let alone go to a restaurant, nor stay at a hotel, or even go on holiday. I think that this modern age of robotic technology is amazing, it'll certainly take the risk of danger to life away from many jobs, but to use this to replace as much workforce as possible to reduce industry costs, will be counter productive if people can't afford things.
A cafe with robots like seen at 3:17 wouldn't really work in the west. People are not considerate enough. The robot servants will be broken, stolen or the operators insulted for their disability. People can be rude. However, the idea behind it is awesome and I like it. And this should be researched a bit more.
Some of these humanoid robots are merely advanced animatronics without a useful function. Others are industrial machines. Until they are combined, there is no real economic purpose for human lifelike appearance. Meanwhile people can be employed and earn money for their families!
Instead of a pet dog in every household There should be a robot. There should be a robot instead of a cc camera. And there is a need for such robots that can sense earthquakes, prevent tsunamis, and detect thieves. In the end, the verdict in the court should be given by a robot.
China fakes everything, makes sense that they would make fake women and fake companion. Now make a robot that can do chores like wash the dishes, fold clothes, cook and clean.
By comparision, Japan robot technology is way ahead, Japan life like robot is much more advance and human looks life like China has a long way to catch up...
