Well alright then, since you knew where I was. Talk to me I was always under the impression that it was part of the ocean it had the same rules as Tomales bay except for the sanctuary. Plus I’m an amateur at editing and really don’t know a whole lot about cut and paste as far as video goes. So I just edit the best I can.
mad respect to you and the yakers on tomales bay...its hard to maintain a drift on a boat!! i can only imagine on a kayak! the currents are no joke!! good trip man!
@@NorCalFishermen thanks Jeff the wind can definitely be a factor for all of us weather it be a boat or kayak. Yesterday there was a bunch of yaks from Sacramento that I met.
@@realestateinbodegabay7690 yes there is marine preservation area out there, but you need to know where it starts and understand you don’t fish past that line. You can kayak all the way to bodega bay but do not fish past a certain point.
@@RippinLipzAddictz yes it is brackish and we launch in Petaluma at the boat launch by Sheraton off lakeville, but you can also launch at black point off of 37.
@@tomfishery8678 Ty 🙏, I want to try out kayaking there. What are the best months for striper there? I’ve Been fishing Napa past couple weeks not really much action.
@@tomfishery8678 Obviously your not aware of that. Your 2nd rod stamp is only valid east of the Carquinez bridge. How am I assuming when you literally tag the loaction of where your fishing in each video you post. I yak and fish these rivers and creek all the time. Im from the area and someone I know got cited in the general vicinity of this location. Im just giving you a heads up thats all but hey if you dont mind getting a ticket keep trolling 2 rods lol
Two rods trolling is hard to manage on a kayak. It's especially hard when you're paddling. It's much easier with peddle kayaks as you can keep moving forward, so nothing get tangled, etc. Glad you managed to net the fish though! Keep it up!
last weekend during our trip i had 1 scratch bait i was holding my rod drifting live smelt and all of a sudden whap! 1 small strike i waited didnt set on it then felt something like whacking my bait...i think a shark was tail whipping my smelt when i reeled up after feeling those hits my smelt was chewd to hell and hooked diffremtly than the way i dropped it down...its sharky there now!
Watch couple of your coolest video. And it's nice to see u hook on couple of those nice fish. I am from redding area and never been to tomale bay b4. Was thinking about heading to tomale bay this weekend with my 20 footer NR boat. Is there any bait shop with live bait close by?
@@TommyVang-bs6qo you can stop into bodega tackle on bodega highway on your way to Tomales and talk to Kenny or just go and catch your bait using the pink shrimp sabiki #12 hooks is what I use. Watch the tides because if it’s a real low tide you could have a real problem launching at miller.
Awesome catch and perfect choice of music. I have always wanted to hook up with you to go fishing . You are definitely a master fisherman. I thought maybe you could give me a few pointers.
