If most of the atrocities he committed was claimed to be false, what about his terrible role in assisting the terrorists who hijacked a plane full of Israeli internationals? Look at the number of people who died during that incident. It's quite unfortunate that how tyrants like Idi Amin ended has not been a lesson for other African leaders who have tendencies to be a tyrant. Look at what's happening in Sudan. Two clueless Military Generals fighting for control... very selfish individuals who don't give a damn about the citizens! This is one of the reasons why the western world sees Africa through a very negative perspective. It's shocking know that Africa has produced it's own fair share of tyrants that can easily pass for "lunatics in power*! The likes of the crazy Nguesso (Nguema)???, Danni Abacha, Mobutu Sesesseko, Samuel Doe, Gbagbo, Paul Biya and not forgetting Idi Amin too. These leaders think they will remain in power forever! Where are most of them today? Where? Majority of them are already dead. Many of them died violently while others died humiliatingly. No wonder, Africa that arguably has one of the largest deposits of natural raw materials among the continents of the world has the highest number of conflicts and war! The horrible almost endless conflict in DR Congo is an example of a country loaded with natural resources. Yet, these resources instead of them being used to better the lives of the masses, have been the source of war battle grounds because of selfish and very greedy leaders that seize power to enrich themselves. It's so shameful.🙄
This is typical western misrepresentation of Idi Amin, nothing about this movie is accurate. Just propaganda which we shouldn't let future generations watch
