Hello, friends! My name is Emily (or Em for short). Welcome to my channel where I post videos every Sunday and (hopefully) Wednesdays. You can expect reading vlogs, sit down videos, and the occasional book haul. I read a wide variety of books and genres so you never know what titles will pop up (I would say never thrillers, but I use to say that about horror and here I am loving horror so 🤷🏻♀️). I hope you stick around and I can't wait to talk about books with you!
@@firewhiskeyreader8257 that one is a lot more fun because Vera isn’t stressed out by the murder. She’s just convinced she is so much more competent than the police. 😂
omg i can’t believe i just found ur channel?? i loved this vid, such a cozy vlog :) also i love that u read along with ur kids, my mom read so many series with me (i remember buddy reading the hunger games with her right when they first came out) and it really fostered my love of reading!! we still share book recs to this day haha. also i’m gonna have to check out witch hat from your review!!
not me, watching this video and immediately trying to figure out when I can film a 24hr reading vlog again 😅 this was so fun! Loving seeing other moms on booktube ❤
I also really enjoyed the Theodora Goss! I just wish the audiobooks weren't so long because I want to continue but I don't want to spend that many hours doing so. Which is a weird thing to say, I suppose.
These books all sound like so much fun! I’m definitely adding the Widow one to my TBR. Hmm for a non-messy fall snack, my husband and I just discovered spiced apple-flavored snack mix (with almonds and the like).
Hi Em, I read After the Forest by Kell Woods. I would not say that this book is a re-telling of Hansel & Gretel. This is the story of what happened to them after they escaped from the witch and how the town treated them. I gave the book 4 stars and it took me 4 days to listen to the audio book since I listened to it was over the weekend. I liked the book simply because I didn't know the story. I hope this info helps.
@@EmJae I live vicariously through you. I work 730-5, 5 days a week and have four kids ranging from 5-9 years old I don't get to read nearly as much as I'd like to
Have you read Cat Sebastian's last two trad pub'd book? I absolutely adored You Should Be So Lucky, but it is a bit heavier. Also, I texted one of my friends about the Mrs. Milner's book because I think she'll like it a lot so I appreciated this a lot. Also, Alyssa Cole's historical novellas are some of my absolute favorites so I was so excited to see you read one! As for a preference for the next one, I'll definitely watch either and they both sound great! I would love to have more books with a better balance of mystery and romance though. I'm still on the lookout for a romance version of Nancy Drew and Ned. Lol.
Yes! I read the first one about the two journalists, but I haven’t read the baseball book yet. Man, I would be so down for a Nancy Drew and Ned romance!
I am right there with you! I really enjoy your content as a mom of 2. You help me understand the realistic standards of the parent book lover. Also the free time jealousy is so real. 😂
This TBR looks fun! Hmm for books with “like” in the title, I can only think of “Song of Silver, Flame Like Night” by Amelie Wen Zhao and “The Woman Who Rides Like a Man” by Tamora Pierce.
I did finish the Eragon series this year (like I wanted to last year after Murtagh came out.) I forgot I was reading The Dark Tower series, lol, so thanks for the reminder to get back on that! You've done a great job with yours ❤.
Kings of the Wyld was so fun and the pacing was pretty fast! I got Bloody Rose but have yet to read it. The 3rd one comes out soon so I need to get on it
Happy reading in July! Tender is the Flesh is such a trip, awesome pick! I am going to be reading some Christina Henry this spooky season, because I have so many from her as well.
