Well, I just finished my first folded book piece and I'm glad it was just for learning purposes! The book I used was too short had too many pages but it was certainly fun to do. I now have a pencil, ruler and bone folder and a strong desire to keep practicing!
Beautiful butterfly. If you are making two measured marks at the top of the page, what marks are you using when you fold the bottom of the page. I did not see you make measured marks at the top and bottom of the 50 pages.
Lawd Almighty, I really thought my butterfly would turn out like the video. Even with these step by step instructions, I somehow screwed it up. Okay, I won’t give up. I’m sooooo going to try this again. Thank you so much for the video instructions!
A great question, you need a template! I explain it briefly in this one-minute video 🙂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ls0arGkA_Ms.html
How are you choosing the angle at which you fold the page. I've noticed you could use the text to fold each page 90 degrees, but you're not doing that. What criteria are you using?
I’m just guessing, but it looks like the pages are being folded at 90 degrees from the pencil marks. That way, each page is slightly different, making the curved effect at the top and bottom of the pages 🙂
