I voted republican in the primary to try to get the first female president. Bust-o-Rama! But,… I did notice that most of the republican ticket was unopposed. They say that we can change the way things are with our vote but,… we can only change the things that voting “allows” us to change. The Democratic ticket is a friggin’ boxing match. The Republican ticket is a cotillion.
I don't believe Quest... Lmao No, LL doesn't get a check. As a grandson of 2 Civil War veterans who enlisted from families who were enslaved and sharecropped, NO if you don't come from it, you don't get restitution unless you can viably prove it per transactions, etc., save that you can't genetically, historically, etc.
I wish there was a place and space to have healthy debate and dialogue about what's here. Often times when people have a different perspective, folks are quick to shut folks it down, instead of jostle in order to build. There's a matter of fact(ness) which I appreciate because you all are incredibly aware, conscious and on point. And, there's some debatable points.
Human nature i.e., jealousy, lies, sexual deviance, misunderstanding, etc and its series of predictable reactions are the reasons why the barter system can’t work on a macro-scale. Meanwhile black people are still slaves in parts of Africa and are enslaved by other black people. In fact no predominantly white country has slaves. Dave Chappelle and Talib Kweli grew up privileged. Dave lives in Ohio where white people are not. Who do you want reparations from? The jews? What about Irish people who were slaves in America before black people? Do you even know your family tree? Stfu and get on with it.
@@The10thManRules I'm not trying to distract, I'm trying to explain the facts. They said that they should get paid because they experienced racism while saying white people should stfu. The word slave comes from Slavs who were white. Irish people were in America as slaves 10 years before black people. We were enslaved for hundreds of years and starved to death but do you hear Irish people saying we want money? No. Instead we get forgotten and lumped in as benefactors of slavery.
@@finnredmond3192the reparations are actually for what followed slavery. Jim Crow America was brutal and is often conflated with slavery but decent whites adjusted and accepted jim crow laws as normal. Hell of a thing
