I shot tons of video over the summer but I'm having trouble editing, given my heavy pain meds. I also had to get new editing software and it's a learning curve. But I'm coming back! Plan on it!
I think the white blockage was definitely a thick cyst sac & u did all the right things removing it so the infected pus/fluid cld be squeezed out. If u had left it in the infection wld have spread. So good job & nice little scar.😂 👍

Too many mosquitoes now have serious viruses so you need mosquito repellent like Deet. NY now has EEE and West Nile with Dengue not far behind. Don't risk your life.
I now live in a sterile neighborhood. Hardly a bug and no mosquitos. I haven't been bitten this year. But I might wear something with DEET in it if I head into the woods.
Hi there. Like the Freight Beast said in his comment this has been done for a long time in history before common medicine. You sterilized everything and used hydrogen peroxide so you were good to go. So you had a little scar. As they say ' chicks dig scars ' so you got something to talk about. Covd was a b#+*h and I could agree with you on that hording deal. I am 70 now but in the height of the pandemic I wound up with bacterial pneumonia and spent 9 days in the hospital. After I got out my son couldn't find any sanitizer or paper towels anywhere to keep the house clean as I recovered. He didn't want me to get sick again. Just look at it this way you and I are a bit stronger now since our ordeals a few years back. Your a sweet gentleman and you would be nice to talk with on this issue. 20 years ago, i was working at a restaurant, and it was summertime, and summer time gets extremely hot in the kitchen . And behind the restaurant, there were tons of poison ivy plants, and one of my co-workers got a huge rash on his arm from touching the plants, and the owner gave him 2 weeks off from work. And i was so jealous it was summer time it is extremely hot in the kitchen so i decided to rub the plant all over my arm so i can get 2 weeks off work and i did it 3 days in a row nothing happened i was so mad . But i am glad nothing happened 😂😂😂😂
Sending prayers for you Doug. I know what living with chronic pain is like. I have fibromyalgia and have had symptoms since I was around 8 (that would be almost 60 years). I also have arthritis in both knees (since I was in jr. high), in my big toe knuckles (from cracking my knuckles) and also in my spine, besides DDD & at this point, I force myself to get us to use the bathroom twice a day and THAT is a whole new experience in pain. I pray you are doing better. I signed a DNR with my doctor last Friday. I can't live like this anymore.
Just finished watching your bike ride from MI to FL. I am on the other side of the state from where you are (or were at the time you posted this). I am roughly the same age as you but my health is no where near yours. And ironically I have a brother who lives in Jax. So proud of you making it!! Thanks 👍 I'm not ready to ride a bike yet but I still have lots of life in me! I want to when I'm good again. I'm thinking the UP or Northern Wisconsin. Wide shoulders made for room to plow the heaps of snow and are great for a bicycle in the summer.
I saw a neurologist 2 weeks ago and had an MRI of my back and legs. I have a fractured disc L4 and L5 that is causing so much pain in my right calf. I’ve had this pain for over 5 years and no doctor could explain it. Finally! My hands are numb and painful. There’s a spot on my nerve on the inside of my right elbow. About 1/4 inch from where they take blood from me (great vein). Neurologist said someone missed while drawing blood and hit the nerve. I can’t remember if and when it happened. So I’m getting 2 different drs to shoot steroids in the areas. Hopefully this will help. I’m in terrible pain all the time. Using a walker or wheelchair to get around. I hope that you’re improving.
I'm hoping you're improving! Constant pain wears down your mind. An uplifted mind can deal with the pain. I try to focus on what makes me happy. The pain is worse when I focus on it, way worse. I'm praying for you Jan. And sending good vibes.
I finished a special type of collagen program that took 2 months. It made my hair and nails better but not my damaged nerves. Next I might try that light patch. One thing at a time.

Thanks for the prayers, that's probably why I'm not dead. I was ready to enter hospice. But they got the pain under control with heavy meds. I've recently reduced the meds because I can't think at the prescribed levels. I traded more pain for being able to interact with life.

@@DouglasConlin If you had a recumbent trike and was sitting in it wearing a big red suit and hat lined in fluffy white. You could set it up behind some reindeer yard ornaments with a bag filled with what looks like toys inside (really just pillows) piled on the rear rack. Haha 😄 🤣 That would be a hoot! Thanks Doug! Mornings are pretty good and I work in my garden but after that I'm in enough pain that I retreat to my room and spend lots of time in my cozy bed. It doesn't hurt if I don't move. How bout you Doug?
