Hi! We're Frank and Janet and this is Frank and Janet's Adventures. Traveling when we can in our Gulfstream Vista Cruiser or the car. We have a small rig consisting of a 2019 Nissan Frontier (Frannie) and a 2021 Gulfstream Vista Cruise 19ERD travel trailer (Vinnie). Not all our adventures are epic; in fact, most are life in general. But, they're all fun! We hike; we bike; and we kayak. We're still working so we try to to get in an adventure as often as we can. We certainly aren’t going to be posting every week but we will post once a month. We hope you'll join us! Give us a thumbs up and subscribe. See you soon!
@Redfour5 Thanks for watching! Still in love.😊 Vinnie suits us perfectly, has towed well and we've had no issues. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers!
@@frankandjanetsadventures Key point for anyone purchasing and using a Travel Trailer in the first year... "...we've had no issues." That is a testament.
San Francisco looks amazing. I also went to a St Helena School here in the UK! That building was really awesome looks something from The Adams family! Wow all those wines! Your meals looked tasty You are brave going up in the wheel!! Wow that's high!! Thanks for sharing
@gatersontour It's fun going back. So many things we didn't see when we lived in the area, years ago. Thanks for watching and the comments. So appreciated. 😊
Aww a fabulous video! Love the mountain walks looks devine... we are planning our trip so need to look where we will visit in Canada! Thanks for sharing 😊
@@gatersontour Thanks for watching! Smith Rock is in Central Oregon, in the US. The area is a great place to visit. Make sure you put Drumheller on your list. You don't want to miss dinosaur country!!👋💕
Aww nice to see you back!! This was a great video. Loved the walk to the waterfalls. There's something about Running water that is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your travels ❤
I have added a high exhaust fan into the bedroom skylight, and it helps with the heat buildup and ventilation. I hooked it into the 12V pucklight for power but I have to have the main light switch on to use it. The 4 ceiling puck lights get turned on/ moff individually when the fan needs to be on. I will definitely add the drawshade to it to cut off the light in the morning.
Hi, Stan. Thanks so much for watching! We had the fan installed at the dealer and use it often. We didn't want to put a dark cover on it because we wanted the light back there. Hence the need for something to cover opening. The drawshade was a game changer! Safe travels!👋🇨🇦
Hi, Gisele. First, we put the table on a double stantion base. Then, I installed a cleat along the back wall of the trailer that I fastened the table to using 4 small "L" brackets. This makes our table a permanent fixture. It can not be used as a bed, which is fine for us. Thanks for watching! If you need any more info, let us know. Safe travels. 👋🇨🇦
Aww enjoying your beautiful trip of UK. See you went to Kelso. Steve took me there as a surprise once. Alnwick is in England. Aww did they not stop at the Border after Berwick! That was a long trip you done. We are 45 minutes from Alnwick so close yet so far ❤
That's so funny. We were close to you and you were so close to us! We really enjoyed that trip. It was a beautiful day and our guide was amazing!! We've decided we're coming back in 2025 so if we miss you on your return trip we'll try again on ours!💕
The first time I walked into this model at a camper show I loved it. But then I laid in the bed and at only 5’9” I thought I’d wack my head on the cabinets above the bed every time I have to sit up in bed. If you are 6’+ how do you not hit your head when you sit up in bed??
Lol, it happened a couple of times! We just figured out how to get in and out without bumping our heads. We definitely think they could've cut the bed base down by a couple of inches. Lots of folks have actually removed the top cabinets but we didn't want to lose the storage. The alternative is the same floor plan with the twin beds. We would've chosen that one but couldn't find a unit in our area anywhere. As with all models, there are always compromises. The cabinets over the bed was ours. Thanks so much for watching and safe travels!👋🇨🇦
Can't believe you were in Castle Douglas!! Are you still in the UK! We were near you in Canada 🇨🇦 now you are here!! Wish we knew. Hope you had a great time ❤
Hi, guys! Thanks so much for watching. We didn't get all of it as the path meanders pretty much around the entire estate. It was great! Safe travels. 👋🇨🇦
I have watched all your videos. Your videos are very nice but there is some problem with your channel. Your channel is not optimized properly and your channel SEO score is very low due to which your channel is not getting good views.you will get many views on your channel. And you need to increase the SEO score of each video. By doing this your channel will get more views, likes and subscribers. I can show your problem with proof. I know how to do SEO to show up in the top search results on RU-vid. Reply for more details
Hi guys Great video to start your Scottish adventures.🏴 Great to meet Janet's mum Looking forward to following the rest of your adventures Hope you're having a lovely weekend Morgs Jo and Boo 🐕 ❤
A lot of the quality on these campers is all dependent on the individual that is performing the task. Most people don’t care because they aren’t buying it. So many campers now lack quality. They build them too fast and push them out onto the RV lots knowing most buyers have no clue. These manufacturers should be held to a higher standard.
Hi, Ronnie and thanks for watching! Agreed! We've owned several RVs over the years, including Airstream. There are always issues no matter the brand. Arguably, some are better than others. That said, the Airstream was one of the most problematic. So far, we have no complaints with the Gulfstream product. Safe travels. 👋🇨🇦
Thank you so much for watching!Pleasure to meet you. Lol, you'll have to stay tuned cause San Francisco 2.0 is coming. We're heading back in January. 😉 Thanks for the subscribe and Happy New Year to you, too!👋🇨🇦
Don’t these look very similar to the Scamp? I do love that awning, I’d love that for my little fibreglass caravan in Australia, any idea where I could get myself one?
Doing some more research, they are putting the big rear tube bumper for the stinky slinky on the Vintage versions of this camper. Have not found a color scheme that the wife both like. Cheers
Nice little get away. I think it is smart wearing masks on the flight, being cold/flu season you dont want to spoil the get away coming down with a bug. Cheers
Hi, Patrick and thanks for watching! Yes, we thought so, too. Going again in January and will be masking up. It's just the prudent thing to do. Safe travels. 👋🇨🇦
Oh i loved this vlog. I always love it when i see your vlog i just know its going to be fab! San Francisco is on our list we hope to get there some day. Thanks for sharing ❤
As a recent retiree, I am ready to sell my '94 4cyl Toyota and find a truck to pull this exact model of Vista Cruiser. Some of my friends say a V6 is adequate for mountains some say it'll struggle. Other friends are die-hard "Nothin' but a full-size truck with a V8!" fans. My question is simple: If you WERE to pick a preferred pick-up to pull your 19ERD, would you pick the Frontier again? Or perhaps a full-size truck with a V8? Thank you in advance for your helping me to get it right the FIRST time! 😄
Thanks for watching and the question. First of all, that's a loaded question! It really is very subjective. Yes, we would buy another Frontier for a couple of reasons. One, we find the power more than adequate for the way we tow. We are not pedal to the metal drivers. The Frontier will tow the trailer, on cruise control, at 60 mph on rolling hills and straights. 60 is our max. Now, living in British Columbia we have lots of mountains to get over and find that, again, if you don't feel the need to be the first to the top, the Frontier does just fine. So, in our opinion, the Frontier is a good choice. Hope this helps. Good luck with your new trailer and safe travels!👋🇨🇦
Hi, John and thanks for watching! The light is from Amazon. No modifications were needed other than adding a switch. We placed ours behind the mounting plate. It is a much better light than the factory puck light. Dream Lighting 12Volt DC Fabric... www.amazon.ca/dp/B0132MT8ZA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Safe travels!👋🇨🇦
Hi Gisele and thanks for watching! I'll answer both your questions here. With regard to the wheel bearings, can't help you there as we always take our unit in for servicing. We just don't have the room in our yard. Second, not sure what you mean about locking up the trailer. It sits in our driveway, covered, with a padlock on the ball release. That's it. We don't live in an area where we are concerned about theft. We're pretty fortunate in that respect. Hope that answers your questions. Safe travels! 👋🇨🇦
Hi my friend's the first video i seen .on your channel. Beautiful beautiful video 👍 i remember the body still like bolers .so r they starting out in 13th foot to .16 foot .i would like to go to there plan. In B.C. your saying now .ok boler was in Winnipeg. But thank you im going to keep your channel on my RU-vid channel.
This is nice that way people are not on the way .I know u guys are good friends I'll just listen awesome video from what I can see I love theys campers .👍
T Y forr the videos. We are a retired couple and recently bought a 2024 Vintage 19CSK at the Hershey RV show. Your insight as owners will be a big help once we take it home and go on our shakedown cruise.
Hi Stan and thanks for watching! Congratulations on your new Vintage!! You're gonna love it. If you haven't already, join the Gulf Stream Vista and Vintage Cruiser Club on Facebook. It is a wealth of information and ideas from owners all over. Have fun on the shakedown and don't hesitate to reach out with questions. We'll help if we can! Safe travels.👋🇨🇦
Hi, Peter and thanks for watching. We did consider the twin model and likely would've bought it but there weren't any in our area. As it was, we had to drive 7 hours to get Vinnie. Other than the twins, both models are identical. Safe travels!👋🇨🇦
The trailer is lovely. But I miss the days of having the goucho at the front that pulled out into the bed so you had more room during the day. It seems like there is so much wasted space with the full time bedrooms now. But I like how your table is at the front so you can look out.
Thanks for watching. 😊 Yes, it seems the new thing is the Murphy bed, which we aren't a fan of. Have to admit, we like not having to make the bed up every night and put it away like in the gaucho days. And the dinette in the back gives us great views. Really appreciate the follow and the comments. Safe travels!👋🇨🇦
We were driving west on I84 on 9/10 toward Lincoln City and saw you guys. We noticed the name of your channel on the back on your trailer and my husband said he thought you might have a youtube channel. So here we are! :)
Awesome video! Thank you for making it, it has really helped . I was wondering, with the axle being a drop style axle, have you had any problems with clearance hitting anything or getting hung up ? Love this trailer, but that's my only concern. Thank you, Johnny.
Hi, Johnny and thanks for watching! Yup, we're really enjoying this unit, too. We haven't had any issues with clearance. We're pretty much "glampers" so no dirt roads, etc. We do watch when entering some gas stations and try to do so on an angle to mitigate any potential drag. It's a great trailer. Good luck with whatever you decide and safe travels!👋🇨🇦
Thanks for the response, given that your in BC , figured I would ask as we are in Alberta and pretty close to same roads with all the mountains around 🙂. Thanks again .
Totally gutted i didnt go right to the Summit! Steve went up so we need to revisit im not keen on gondolas but will do it again! Thank you for taking us back to places where we went. ❤
Aww loved this video as it showed us places we visited to. Your videos are great. We are now watching the Banff one. Can't wait to return. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks! You'll have to check the Revelstoke one, too. I suspect you didn't ride the pipe coaster down, so you can do it vicariously. 😉 You'll definitely have to give it a go next year!! Thanks for watching. 😊
@@frankandjanetsadventures No but Steve did. I loved Revelstoke especially at the very top! Such beautiful views. Look forward to watching it. Sorry we missed you but will see you next year!
