We have this car seat and unfortunately my mums new car the rails are flat to the floor and she says unable to get the tethers under. Is there an alternative way to thread the tethers or do I need a new seat? Thank you

Hi, thanks for this video, it was very helpful. My support keg is even tighter than yours and will not extend as it’s so close. Should I use the spacer to push the seat further out, even though my daughter is only 13 months and doesn’t need the keg room at the moment ? Thanks
Hi, I have had this happen a few times myself. In most cars you can install the seat without the spacer, in this case you just need to extend the leg down to the floor before you tighten the seat belt. If that still leaves a gap between the seat and the backrest, you will need the spacer.
Most car seats have a little flat ‘button’ inside the fabric just above the adjuster strap. You press that and hold it and then pull the straps with the other hand.
The recline is not set by age, it's more to do with how sloped the seats in your car are. For a newborn up to about four/five months you need to use the most reclined setting until they can hold their head up. After that it is safer in a crash to be as upright as possible, so I would install the seat with just enough recline to keep their head up when they're asleep, but not recline it too much.
Hi, Forward facing in a harnessed car seat increases the risk of injury by 500%. Rear facing protects the delicate head, neck and spine. We have a 4 month-old baby. We've used the Joie i-snug 2 up until now but we think she's ready for this car seat. However, when we put her in, she seems really tight and snug with the head insert so we've removed it. But the straps around the hips and the seat belt attachment seem really low down and don't go well around her waist. We don't understand what we are doing wrong. Surely she can't just have the wedge?
Hi, It sounds like she may be sitting too low down in the seat. At four months she definitely still needs the body insert, so just try sitting her a little higher up, and always make sure that the straps are level with her shoulders.

I’ve just ordered this seat for my 2.5 year old but she’s only 84cm tall, do I need to use the insert still? Also I remember you being around when my 11.5 year old was small, great to see you pop up again ❤
Years after uploading and you're still a lifesaver! I was just asking myself when would be a good time to remove my kids inserts, they are nearly two and I will absolutely try removing all the inserts with them now and see how itll fit. Thanks a lot for this very well produced video!
