Very good explanation. You are the one who clearly makes a distinction between a change in momentum and a change in price direction! If the momentum weakens that doesn't necessarily mean the (short term trend) or price direction also immediately changes! It can easily be a retracement or pullback or not even that. That is why the MACD is such a smart indicator. But you have to know how to use it correctly. Indeed MACD is not a trend indicator.

For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. Great, this is exactly what I am currently trading😊for few days (actually, waiting for the end of this bull((i)shit recovery😂) As an observation, in this example, the 61.8% level alligns perfectly with an important R/S in that region which makes it very interesting if the price drops to that level in the upcoming period. What about integrating Elliot Waves with Fibonacci? This is also something I am currently experimenting. In my view, this upward recovery looks like either a B wave of the correction sequence (assuming the wave 5 ended at the current historical maximum) which pressumably means that a hard drop in price is to follow forming the C wave, or, the ABC correction sequence ended actually on 5-6 August and we are now in wave 1 of the new phase of the higher time frame uptrend (which theoretically also means that wave 2 is to follow in correction going down to that 61,8% as a maximum to respect the Elliot rules, but probably it is rather to stop sooner - maybe at 50% as per this example). How could we use Elliot and Fibonacci together to anticipate actually these potential reversals /corrections? Does overlaping them with divergences on RSI / MFI / MACD make it decent accurate, I imagine?

Hello Sir, I watched your video and did some testing. I agree with your description and use. I saw something that looked very interesting. If price is above the -50%, the movement is generally a Buy. If below, then a Sell. I set the Length to 50. Then I adjusted the bands to -43% and -57%. I also increased the background color opacity to highlight that range. Anytime the line is within that range, price is not worth trading. A crossing from one side to the other is very accurate for the direction of the market. Above -47% is a Buy. Below -57% is a Sell. This appears to work on multiple time frames and across Forex pairs, commodities like Gold and Oil, and Stocks. I hope this is useful.

W%R and Stochastics are same indicator with different scale value. Stochastic runs 100 at top to 0 at bottom. If you subtract 50, scale will be centered at 0, which can be useful. Thanks Barry for the reminder to buy when it goes high, sell when it goes low.
Great comment. Williams %R is very much like the %K half of the stochastic indicator. %K uses lowest lows, whereas %R uses the highest highs over the set period, so %R inverts the scale by multiplying by -100

at 09:12 in the video, there are two points ( on on the left and one on the right ) on the indicator where the graph is above -20. But you talked about the right side one...not the left side one. If we consider -20 as increase in bullishness, then right side one is a loss. Can you clarify ...how what you talked about applies there ?
It can be used for day trading and tick charts, but NOT as reliably because of the "saucer" metapattern of intraday charts, and because tick charts charts, by smoothing price action are not as conducive to use with volume or volume indicators.

Can I ask? When the indicator reaches the, for example the non oversold area you wait until it goes to the opposite area? If not, how do you establish which time it is going to go the opposite way? Because there are times where it does follow suit. Or do you just trade opposite every time it gets to one of the areas? ** I just added the macd with a suggested input change of 8,21,5 and when the williams indicator reaches the so called overbought area, as long as the macd shows green line over red, which is a lot of the time you are spot on and oversold and the macd shows red line over green. They work perfect together. Woukd live to know what you think.
I like your additional comment because that's exactly the direction I was going to go in answering your question. This indicator BY ITSELF doesn't tell you when it will go in the opposite way. No one indicator tells us everything in trading, so a trading system is made of several components, that when combined, give us a probability scenario. Your MACD addition is interesting, I haven't specifically tried it with those settings, but glad it working out well for you and it makes sense!

Very helpful video. I am going to add this to my future charts to see if I can use it for more evidence and get more consistent with my day trades. So far looking at some back testing it seems to be helpful when looking to trade 5m cycles on the MNQ. I have the 2700tk and 8100tk charts for short and mid term. I have the TD cycle indicator, MOM, OBV (new addition), VWAP, Heiken Ashi, and using a market profile TPO chart. Seems to provide some solid reversal set ups. The TPO charts seems to give some clues that a reversal is likely while looking at VWAP standard deviations. Still need to test it for another month. Thank you for all the great content.

another great video. so it's like the Stochastic, that "overbought" and "oversold" (i don't like these terms either) when they actually show the strength of the direction and not the opposite? talk about Stochastic, would it make sense to use both the Stochastic and Williams R as a confirmation, or is it just 2 of the same thing? Great video. I'm not a fan of divergences as they don't happen often and aren't 100% reliable when they do happen, but your point of looking for the opposite (convergence) is something not a lot of people think about and "gurus" fail to mention.
