Somehow what makes the fish interview so impressive is her pauses to listen to the responses. Perhaps her musical need to pay attention to both notes and rests contributes to this. But so many performers doing one-sided “conversations” on the phone fail in verisimilitude because their pauses are too brief.
The best part of this video is that she said a Chinese musician could play ping pong really well. Brett is ethnically Chinese and he used to play ping pong (table tennis) competitively. I sure hope he and Hilary have played a few games!
