Are you able to adjust these doors so you can lift it when it’s not opened as much? The main reason I wanna get this is cause it looks cool but also smaller parking areas
I heard bleach works very well when it come down to getting rid of all that brown stuff. You might as well throw some fabric softener on there while your at it, it'll make your tire real soft.
Dawn is an Oxidizer and will strip wax and cause paint to fade(oxidize). Only use Dawn if you're trying to strip wax or was build up from your paint. No more than once per year. Use a good polish 4-6 times a year and wax 1-2 times annually.
Did this affect you being able to lock your car from the inside? I did mine the same way, but when I lock the car from the inside. It beeps 3 times and unlocks like my keys are inside of it. But I can lock it with my key fob. My amp does turn on when I unlock or open my doors. So I think that’s probably why. But unsure
The brown is antiozinant. Added to the rubber compound during manufacturing. Protects the rubber from cracking and splitting from ozone and ultraviolet rays. With each tire rotation, it’s pushed to the surface. You’ll see it more with cars that live outside in the sun. So getting rid of it is like washing off your sunscreen at the beach. You need to replace it with something that will scream the sun not just a shine
The only problem with dawn is it has a tendency to strip everything of it’s protective coating, great cleaner but just be sure to follow up with some sort of wheel sealant afterwards
