Amtgard Rules Clarification, you cannot move the other person with a shove. If you use your pole to push off of their shield and you move and they don't you're good.
Just had a talk about Madus in foam yesterday with friends. I was curious how they would fair. This was a lot of fun to watch, good mechanics! Thanks for uploading. :)
Well, here we go again. I'm french, lost on RU-vid, and I don't know why this is recommended to me... Anyway guys, you're pretty cool and fun so one sub and one like for you
This is no random content this is peak content of the internet, only a few selected can see this masterpiece (and i know at leat one club in lyon that do this)
@@deliberatewhacktice6153 Denver has always had good stick. I work Friday nights so it’s hard to not sleep the night before fighting. If I can carpool with people i could try to sleep on the drive down but that’s not always possible. I will start getting down there more though. Who’s the next up and comer. I know Kurai is probably getting knighted soon.
@@Dude-ski Well I'm flattered but I'd say I have a bit of a wait before I get knighted, got some personal things to work on. That said, now I feel kinda silly cause it sounds like youre a Cheyenne or FOCO local and I should know you but I'm drawing a blank. What's your game name?
@@deliberatewhacktice6153 hehe I didn’t realize this was Kurai. I haven’t played much since having kids but I’ve been a FoCO fighter since 2001. Riddick.
It’s alright if the name doesn’t ring any bells. The next time we fight should be memorable due to my style. Hope to see you at the two person tournament.
Yeah, a game called Amtgard. Unlike hema we use foam as you can see and have a different stylistic approach since for our rules things like head shots are off limits
@@deliberatewhacktice6153 was wondering that also why do you hold the shield so close to your body I know it’s how the straps are made but why is that?
@@shrimpdragon1353 I’m not 100% sure honestly. Some people fight with them a little more projected, especially with a center grip or some type of punch handle, but strap just ends up being a closely held style. I think perhaps with our lack of mass in our weapons we get more benefit out of keeping things close to a strong position rather than projected trying to preempt attacks.
I’m glad you like it, honestly reviewing your and Anatole is always a pleasure but how do I provide feedback on two fighters at your level? All I can do is my best!
In my opinion if you are not able find things for them to improve upon you could potentially highlight the specific skills each fighter is using to create advantages for themselves for other people watching. Reviewing video for me and I think it may be this way for a ton of people that are towards the top is highlighting/explaining the things we are doing correctly and how we are creating advantages using these tools like you were already doing in this video. Sorry for the ramble.
Pattern recognition is the best thing I've been able to glean from watching video, at least from a coaching perspective. I wish I was off of injury and could start watching myself and see my own habits and patterns. As for why I review, it's a ton of fun and hopefully helpful.
I’m gonna start putting together a script or video on how to improve your pattern recognition if I can, unfortunately most of my experience comes down to “automate what you can so you can watch what they’re doing and learn faster”
Hell yeah! Thanks so much, my friend. That outside spin was a set up in about 60 percent of the occasions, with my intent to chain it into a second spin based on reaction, but I just wasn't really getting that to work. Need to give them more reason to aggress on me I think.
@@deliberatewhacktice6153 "Thats silly lol - But it does seem right up my alley to learn, even if it never works lol" I hope has success with it and is surprised!
Why the heck this was on my suggested.... I have no idea... But it was kinda entertaining watching two guys hit each other with pool noodles on sticks with utmost skill. tbh
