Not a good demonstration on two accounts 1. Placing your hands in concrete risks skin problems. 2. To ensure the pole is vertical it should be inserted and checked for perpendicular with a spirit level check then at 45 degrees.
Make sure you actually put the rotary dyer in the spike and level it on the rotary pole itself. It’s a little bit awkward but there is no way you can level it like this.
That IS NOT re-tensioning a washing line, it already has a preset tension when in the correct position. Take the line partly off and re-thread it, then start again and show how the correct tension is achieved. I already know as I have put a complete line in mine, but this description on the video is very misleading. It should be called - making a rotary clothes dryer look nice again. I dumped the old plastic covered nylon and got some decent 6mm wire covered in plastic that is UV proof, so will not crack and split and will not fall apart. It also supports 80KG easily and can be tensioned more as it will not stretch.
I think you missed the point! You did not show how to adjust the tension, you only showed how to make a pre-tensioned rotary dryer line look nice so that it was more equal on the different sides.
It's how to make the washing line look nice, nothing to do with correcting or adjusting the tension on it. The tension is already set on that one as the line will have been determined to be the correct length.
I just used my Garden Parasol Stand. It is very heavy, with a large diameter, and is impervious to high winds, even fully loaded with sheets etc . I just put it in the shed, come winter.
Yeah--that used to work, back when I used it regular BUT, after 4 years in the shed, mine is so tangled, it looks like someone have been trying to knit something out of it. I might have to cut it free, and TRY and re-thread it.
I wish I could send a picture of what's going on with this umbrella clothesline it just will not open up trying what you say suggested didn't seem to want to work but if the Picture Tells a thousand words you know so thank you very much how do I send a picture to you to take a look at this please respond thank you
Solved! The lines were all tangled and stopping each other from moving - but by a bit of fiddling about with the tangles, I was able to get the washing line up and back in use again! :) Thx for this video!
I have the opposite problem, my washing lines won't fold up and close. It's frozen stuck. I tried spraying wd-40, and still won't budge. Lines gets dirty if I leave it open and birds poop all over the lines. How do I get it to close?
