This channel is about a man with many trades. I would like to cover all of my intresset in this channel. It is not to focus on one art it is to handle many of them. Some will call me a maker but a would like to call my self the Renaissance Man. I do everything from cooking to concrete work to painting and I would like to cover it all in this channel.
Very good video great troubleshooting skills when you check a fuse, you have to disconnect one end of it. Otherwise your meter can read the resistance in the circuitry all the way around tricking you and thinking that the fuse is good! And my 65 years of appliance repair and heating and air conditioning 99% of the engineers I’ve met throughout my life have their wives change the flat tire😳
My son-in-law recently graduated from college and engineering degree knowing his mechanical skills set which is zero or one on a scale of 100 bought him a railroad and engineers hat for a graduation gift. We have a very good relationship and it went over very well and sometimes he wears it to work, and he’s responsible for keeping our fighter jets fighting❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🇺🇸
Great trouble shooting. I Recently had a Lenovo computer dead in the water. The electrolytic caps in the power supply were all exploded or swollen. I replaced them all and brought this PC back to life.
Nice! I just bought a brand new one and out of the box, not working (vacuum runs forever). Did some similar tests with the multi meter (checked that vacuum pressure switch functions) and found a random bit floating around in the casing of the unit, can’t tell what it goes to or fell out of, but seems to be losing vacuum as soon as pump stops. I’m thinking it’s part of a check valve or something. Anyway nice troubleshooting!
I have a FoodSaver V4400 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealer Machine that the Retractable hand sealer attachment quit working. My husband cut it off so we could replace it. We ordered a new one then found that ther were no directions on how to install it. You showed me how to find the screws to open the machine but I still can't figure out how to fix it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The way I usually do this repair is to rip the cheap MDF door off, toss it, and get a new exterior door. You don't "save money" when the repair will fail, you just kick the can down the road. MDF is totally unsuited for exterior applications. It's a sponge. Keep going with that carve out until the door is gone if you want to be slow about it...
Just a FYI, that 2 part wood filler you are using is just rebranded Bondo (autobody filler), Bondo is usually easier to find and cheaper. Also get yourself a random orbit sander, makes sanding bondo much much easier and makes feathering the edges effortless, 120-150 grit disks cuts through bondo like butter.
I didn't know that, that it was the same as Bondo, That make much more use for this material. I need to check if Bondo could be found in Sweden. Many thanks for the info. I didn't dare to use the orbit sander, I thought I will loose control and sand better part of the door:-) But I will keep it in mind now then I also know that it is actually Bondo and could be used for many more things.
BEAUTIFUL .-- a real and inexpensive way to collect Christmas lights. take a small round plastic bucket, put it on the ground, put all the contacts in the bucket, then take a large bucket, put it down with the bottom up, hold it in place with a stone. It's tight, plastic bags are not tight. MERRY CHRISTMAS from Copenhagen.
I'm glad that you liked the video. I thought I had tried it all:-) To but the cables in a bucket is brilliant I never thought about that! We are here to learn:-) MERRY CHRISTMAS from south of Sweden
Sorry for my very late replay! It turned out great with a nice fruity touch. I like my tonic water to have a nice bitternes (I hope that is the correct english word for it) to it and next time I will increase the amount of cinchonabark in the syrap. // Per
Well done sir, working on one now mine is similar FS lights come on but no action. Pumping or sealing lights don't light up or function, power light comes on at manual locking lid operation, so I think limit switch on door is working.
Thanks! Now it was some time since I repaired this one, but I think there was at least two power supplies inside. So halv the unit worked but the part there I found the broken cap. was dead. I thought first it was the limit switch, and I start to dig it out but realized it is easier to just measure on the leads. But the switch was ok in mine.Check the voltages. If I remember correct mine had simple linear regulators so they was easy to find and to check the voltages.
I use a normal Box cutter that has a rather flexible blade. You can find them in any hardware store I believe. But you could sand it down as well. The MDF could be rather fluffy so it will sand quickly as well I Just remember to score the surface after sanding so the chemical wood has a ruff surface to bind to. // Per I
Just wanted to know... How many metres was this string light? And how many bulbs? If you wanted to use another string of lights, would you be able to connect it to the first string light, as how it would usually be done with other string lights?
Well done. From watching your video I have resolved to save old ckt. bds. for parts. Those darn capacitors are always the likely suspect in electronics. Many McGivers would have given up on your foodsaver. Good work.
Thanks for your comments, Happy to hear that I'm been part in your saving of broken equipment. Yes capacitors is the usual suspect for sure. Now days then thing is not allowed to cost anything things is made by lowest priced components that could be found.:-) / Per
Sorry for the late replay, yes the cap is always the usual suspects.Since the push for cheaper products is never ending... there is no money for ok components.:-(
The surface of the bread get a nice crispier surface (It cracks up in a nice way). Sometimes I mix salt inte water to get a salty touch on the bread. / Per
