Why don't they separate the mother of the eggs from the "socail" tank till they eggs hatch. That way they wont be motherless?

adib DK second grade as in a grain crop that has been determined to be not top quality. No doubt a way of saving costs compared to using first grade.

Australia is a big beautiful country. Why dont u ask your farmers/fishermen to rear expensive seafoods such as abalone, tuna, crabs and bird nest? They are in great demand in asian countries. In Singapore, we pay around S$35 for medium size crabs. Those above 1kg its abt $48 up. Bird nest cost abt $30 each depending on grade. Some farmers attract them with recorded birs calls to old vacant houses to breed and then collect the nest instead of getting the nest from caves.

I would never describe any oyster as "salty" or "chewy". As somewhat of an Oyster connoisseur, the flavours of an oyster are entirely dependant on what region they were born, or what methods were used in their farming. The difference between an intensively farmed Oyster and a sea born oyster is like the differences between night and day, and this is mostly indicative by the shape of the shell, the odour and the finish/glossiness of the oyster. After trying a great variety of oysters, Belon is a clear favourite of mine as it really emphasises the flavour of what, in my mind, an oyster should provide to the consumer. Initially a strong copper, followed by a hint of sweetness and finally a not overwhelming but lingering brine on the palate.

make sure you park parallel to the dam and for dam sure make sure you wear your life jacket around the pond and put the soft shelled ones back in the pond and by all means drive carefully when transporting tabbies. yeah man, I'm gonna have a bumper sticker made that says "caution yaby on board"

Moved to Brisbane in 2000 and buy Blue Swimmers as they are called, over here which ar equal quality as Perth. I have always maintained the crabs in Perth are way better rah rah rah and went back recently and bought some at the local fisk market at Leeming. They were the most pathetically small crabs ive seen , I told the woman that that were undersized as well, very disappointed. From what Ive seen in my 50 years of living , The crabs from Mandurah to Shark Bay to Brisbane are no different in standards and if i served them up to you you wouldnt have a clue where they are from. Typical parochialism of the West Australian public.

Best way to catch yabby. Shoot scrawny emu. Tie rope to dead emu and throw into river, creek or dam. Leave for a day and haul out dead emu with yabby still attached...Easy!

I wish innovators like this every accolade and financial success possible. The pressure mankind is putting on marine ecosystems is simply unsustainable. The more we can take control over what we eat, the better chance we have of bringing balance back to our seas. Bravo to all involved.
