One of the best games I've literally ever played. I love the story, the graphics, the ships, game truly was ahead of its age. The only cheeky thing I do is modify game files to start with the Valkyrie or another high-end, civilian fighter.

I remember reading about this game in some Lithuanian magazine and then some time later I got this game and it was amazing in every way possible. I really hope to see it on GOG patched with all the modern stuff. There is some games that tries to emulate Privater, as Freelancer did and this game is called Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. It's onlu 3eur on sale and the game is really good and fun.
well except for the intro i wasnt much in for the story. but the rich background, the factions, the shipdesign and fun easy fighting make me love this game so much. the immersive radio chatter makes it so much better, a thing that many games lack. and hell yeah i love the rheinland and liberty shipstyles, some bretonia also, kusari is not my style tho- also hart to replicate in other games like avorion. and that blockade ships from the intro.... man i want them
I think freelancer was, at least for me, the very first game where i thought i dont play a game but play an interactive movie. Sound, Story, Characters, all top quality, especially the german synchro was even more impressive than any other game compared to its english original. i mean, these last couple of years, they rarely bother with synchronisation into anything other than english. Freelancer was truely a work of art and love.
Remakes often have a steering control too loose or flakey, hard to aim and steer, please make it possible to set the inertia in settings. Used to play this much around year 2000
This is SO COOL! I adored Freelancer when it first came out and held onto my physical disc long after PC's and laptops stopped coming with drives to play them. I was playing this masterpriece first-time in 200x in school, and i still haven't seen better space-sim-arcade than Freelancer Privet from coallition's mother Russia, Sirius system ✊🏻😎🤙🏻
i recently reloaded this game. Thanks Discovery! My only wish is that there was controller support. I am not able to do keyboard and mouse anymore since i was injured.
There's no single player campaign, no. The mod is basically an online MMO where the game world story is regularly progressed through server events and content updates like this one.
