We were mormons for a bit after my parents separated. It was over once the hottie hot missionaries moved on. Like a pair of young, old-spice, lantern-jawed, black hair blue eyes, 10/10s in suits with American accents, who had all the answers. They sure taught me a lot about myself, albeit unwittingly.

Hey Christians, over here, I'm talking to you If you're laughing at this stuff, know that you're also in the Petrie dish. The equivalent of Joseph Smith For being a con man is Conversion Paul. Remember, the original church really disliked him. There was a reason. He was the first televangelist before there was television.

I have heard stories by ex-Mormons about some of the horrors that go on behind closed doors. But I was raised and remain an atheist, and standing outside all of these faith communities, every Mormon I’ve ever met has been as polite and welcoming as I could ask for. My final high school (we moved a lot, so I attended two high schools) had quite a few Mormons in attendance. This is true of Sikhs, as well, though I’ve only known one well enough to call him a friend. I’ve spent like a decade working on cubicle farm help desks. There were a lot of Muslims. Atheist RU-vid has almost as much to say about them as they do about Christians. But, with one exception, every Muslim I’ve met has likewise been a pleasure to know. In my second high school, I remember being on a long bus ride to some other school for a track meet. There was a Mormon kid who not once tried to push his views on anybody. He just lived here, he wasn’t on a mission or anything. But also on the team was a southern Baptist kid. He was constantly trying to convert people. He’d talk about all the blessings he’d gotten in life. Granted, he ran faster than me. So did the rest of the team. I was only there because my parents said I should be around people. But on this bus ride, the Baptist decided to try to convert the Mormon. The Baptist’s tactic was basically to (mis)quote the Bible, and then to dismiss any non-biblical arguments that contradicted his beliefs. It was super annoying. But when he tried that on the Mormon, the response was something like, “Oh, God amended that in <Book of Mormon chapter and verse>.” Honestly, it was glorious.

So the Book of Mormon speaks about the good white Indians and the evil black Indians.. Yes to the founding fathers of the Mormon church the darker the skin the more evil someone was. Of course the Mormon church edited all the racists stuff from the Book of Mormon I believe at the end of the 1960s.

Yes, I’m not Mormon and after watching this episode several times I am always left with the feeling why? Why do so many people go to this wack job church? Is it because people want to disobey the Lord? It’s just so fake and dangerous for your soul. Christians should never even think about looking in to the Mormon church. Joseph Smith is an obvious false prophet.

"Mormons" are Christians. "Mormon" is not their name, it's just what everyone calls them. Their church is literally called, "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints". They read the Bible, the King James version in fact, which is the closest translated version in English to the original, meaning, they read a more pure text about Jesus Christ than average Christian churches. Their youth grow up reading the King James version of the Bible from a small child all the way up to adulthood, even going to seminary classes before school in high school. This means that they generally are far more well versed and knowledgeable about Jesus Christ than any youth in any other Christian church. I've seen their youth completely school other youth from other Christian churches about scriptures in the Old and New Testament. They believe in Jesus Christ, that he died for sins of all, and that he is the only way to salvation. If they're not Christian, that's fine--all that means is they are better followers, believers, and sharers of Jesus Christ than "Christians". All you've done is proven you know very little about their faith.

@@EchoFrost-w2h yes but they changed the bible. they say everyone can become gods and that we will all go to another planet when we die (not in bible) they say Jesus was SATANS BROTHER, they have an american prophet, they said Jesus cane to america, like no. JUST BECAUSE THEY WORSHIP JESUS DOES NOT MAKE THEM CHRISTIANS. a Christian is someone who follows Jesus Christ as read in the BIBLE. there are no new prophets.

We all have moments that try our faith. That's not a good reason to leave it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is THE Church of Jesus Christ. I will never leave it. John 6:66-69 66 "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God." Be strong and hold to the faith. There is no other church that offers what is offered within His Church. FYI, He's not done with YOU yet.

I'm sorry, but no. I found some platinum plates (platinum is more precious than gold) that had the true word of Jesus. I found the stick of reading, and was able to translate them. In one passage, it says that there is a man named Joseph Smith, that is a con man, and will try and sway people to his false religion. It says that Joseph Smith just made everyone up, and his friends lied to help him, and in return they were given positions in his church, and got to share the money if they cooperated. And I have 20 eye witness's that will say they saw the plates as well. But, after I translated them, they turned to dust!!

Once you leave a false religion you will feel lighter and feel free, there is so much control so you can pay them the ten percent of your pay check they think you own them, that is why they keep your records, it's all about money using God's name for their own wealth and business, tithing settlement that goes on in the beginning of the year,if you don't pay them all the money you owe them, you cannot go to their evil Freemasons temple, people think that what ever the hell goes in their temples people think it's holy, it's demonic and evil. This religion and the Catholic Church will be the ones that will support the anti Christ period.

It's been 4 years since you've posted this, I hope you are in a happier place now. I knew nothing about Mormonism until I watched your reaction to the south park episode along with ex-mormon Alyssa Grenfell's reaction to the same episode (I'm an avid watcher of SP). What I will say is your reaction is more relevant than you realize because the message has carryover not just with other ex-Mormons or other religious groups or cults but with business, politics, friendships, and relationships etc. The short version is to watch out for sacred cows - people or institutions that are seemingly BEYOND CRITICISM. 1 big red flag is actions or beliefs that SOUND EXTREME, such as the example you mentioned, shunning homosexuals simply because they are homosexual. 2. related to 1, which you touched up on is LOGICAL INCONSISTENCIES - in the homosexual example, the religion on the 1 hand is passing itself off as loving and nurturing, yet is behaving in ways that sound intolerant. 3) BAD BEHAVIOR within the movement IS RATIONALIZED or quietly IGNORED. Famous examples involve the Catholic Church's obtuse reaction to the priest pedophilia scandal, or the numerous women that were abused by Dr Larry Nassar in the Carroli Compound and yet nobody in charge would do anything. In the case of Joseph Smith, you described some of his repulsive behavior the Church never told you about. 4) related mostly to 2) is NOT GETTING ANSWERS, or GETTING BAD ONES. There's a famous quote: "question authority." I would modify that view to say "ask authority questions, but when the answers they give back SOUND UNCONVINCING, CONTRADICTORY, OR EVASIVE, then be prepared to QUESTION AUTHORITY. Just my short list, but again your video felt really spot on, I'm glad you made it. Even though I have no experience having anything to do remotely with Mormonism, it's a powerful message that again I must stress has a lot of carryover.
