Most people are unaware of the fact that after the first day of summer the sun doesn’t actually start to set a minute earlier each day until July the 4th. For example, here in Baiting Hollow the sun sets at 8:27 on June 21st, but doesn’t set at 8:26 until July the 4th. This means that daylight at the end of the day doesn’t start to decrease until 2 weeks AFTER the first day of summer. Look it up and you’ll see I’m correct.
hey kristen hey sharon loved this great job i was wondering if there is a podcast this week i was surprised the last two days when there wasn't a new episode i know when this video was posted you guys said you would see everyone next week just used to getting up on my days off and watching the pod anyway hoping there is one tomorrow or next week the heat here is so bad it makes me miss the summers back home at least in new york we never had such intense heat here its like 95 and feels like 110 its so bad here you can't go out during the day it's so hot anyway can't wait till the next episode i haven't missed a single one yet

How long have they been doing this? I grew up in Syosset and never even heard about this! I mean, I moved off the island 24 years ago, but I still have family and friends up there, but nobody ever mentioned this.
If someone from the show happens to mention this to Sal... Sal, I live in Florida. I was so looking forward to seeing you come down to Spring Hill, for the Saint Frances Cabrini festival. Then the pandemic hit in 2020, everything shut down, and I lost my wife to COVID that September. Now, I guess they do an October "Fall Fiesta," rather than a Mother Cabrini festival. Ralphie DeChristofero had said you promised were coming down every year for the festival, but I guess that didn't last past that couple years (2018-2019). I hope we get to see you in the Tampa area, sometime soon. You get down to Florida, but always to the wrong coast. 😉
These exhibits are awful for big mammals like giraffes and zebras. Don’t waste your time. You’ll have a much better experience at the Bronx Zoo, and you’ll be supporting a group that actually cares
