The 1989/90 season rags had extreme coward lineup... Just extremely cowardly squad. They were never known for unity, but that season it was especially noticeable... And in the playoffs they simply ran off the ice after the game with the Isles to avoid fight... The whole rangers team ran from two guys - Mick Vukota and Kenny Baumgartner. That SHAME of those rags is still before my eyes
is it 2+2 penalty when dackell face was bleeding?? I should know but a huge blackout now. Lindros did a jumping move so its a dirty hit. Its also can be gets called boarding penalty. Im not 100% sure but i think dackells teammate chris murray commented about lindros and his comment wasnt a positive.
I was at this game with two of my brothers...had spent a lot of years watching really bad hockey in Detroit. Remember looking at them in the 1st period and saying "Are we really this good?"
Remember watching this live - when games were exciting. Man I miss the old NHL. Today’s game is unwatchable for me . Thank you Vindiggs for posting these clips . 🍻👍🏻
The "Herbivore" was getting bounced around all over "The Joe"...... was able to exact some retribution and join a very exclusive club at the same time.
Manson peels away to center ice challenging Stevens, who eventually catches up with Manson in the corner... and they wind up squaring off back at center ice to get away from everyone. What an epic bout!
@@danski6694 He made opposing forwards on the ice aware he was on the ice, that’s kind of forechecking, and when he fought, zero problems about sacrificing his face which everyone on the opposing bench noticed
Still, the announcers said that the league was tougher 10 years ago. They also bring up people wanting to ban fighting. Something about changing but staying the same..
Thankless job but I think he handled games better than Denis Morel , who buried the whistle, then things got out of control. I’ve said I will never criticize the ref again after volunteering to do a tournament as a fundraiser, it was supposed to be a friendly and I missed an infraction and purses and insults were swinging my way as soon as I cruised by the glass, true story
the Blues were tough and super dirty back then. So many rats in that lineup. They thought they were tough with no Probie out there. With Joey and Probie in the lineup, the blues weren't as bold. Yzerman decking Evans was great. Karma. 155 points by Stevie. Wow.
What you meant with this? Are you a Blues fan and you didn´t like how they commentated what happened? I really can´t understand because I´m not fan of either of these teams and it sounded surprisingly unbiased to me. Not even close like Bruins feed.
