We are SILATEC - and we have declared the fight against burglars! On our channel you find everything about burglary protection, safety glass and bulletproof glass.
Burglary protection According to the motto "Your security, our mission" we inform about good burglary protection. We explain alarm systems and secure door locks and talk about the biggest weak point in the house: the windows.
Security glass Burglars don't stand a chance against our burglar-proof glass! To our glass tests for burglar proof windows we bring sledgehammers, axes and flamethrowers. Conventional armored glass can pack up!
Bulletproof glass In addition to burglary protection and safety glass, bulletproof glass is also a big topic. That's why we show you on our channel what bulletproof REALLY means!
Our mission: no burglaries!
Our security glass is burglar proof, bullet proof, fire proof and tamper proof!
Try hitting the corner of the frame to bend it, then pry the glass away from the rest of the frame. Assuming you're able to bend it and get a tool under the glass.
Have the bottom part be a safe and have the items be lowered into it and locked away when a certain amount of pressure is applied to the glass. Like bank security shutters or those crazy bomb proof beds. Glass would just need to be able to take one good hit and not break, items would be locked away before the second hit. Could also have it linked to the other showcases, one gets hit the others go into safe mode.
Important question with the idea of extremely valuable things inside the display, like the egg for instance. How long do you think it will be before you will be able to produe a protective product that will stop the glass shattering **inside** that could destroy the valuables when it is hit by an attacker?
Their other glass products already do that even when shot with a rifle so I imagine if the customer requests it, it can be done. It's called a spall shield or liner.
That's tough glass. I would have liked to see the axe on the glass itself instead of the frame, but looking at your other videos where you attack glass with an axe, it probably wouldn't have gone through anyway!
Your glass has the P6B certificate, and it seems it can withstand a lot more blows (as shown in other video as well). So, why doesn't it have the P8B certificate instead?
It should always be worth noting that while bulletproof glass is very strong it’s not as effective against repeated blows in a concentrated area as it is against gunshots. This is because energy transfers from blows with a blunt object differently than it does with fired bullets. Bulletproof glass is built for the latter and things like riot proof glass are built for the former. With that in mind, while silatec glass may be better at withstanding repeated blows from blunt objects it will be less equipped to withstand gunfire and likely be less effective at stopping bullets in comparison to the other three. Same ordeal with bulletproof & knife proof vests. You can design a vest for one of the other but not both.
Bullet proof glass like that isn't ment to stop a burglars. It's ment to stop wait for it.....bullets. glass ment to stop people from getting in has wire mesh inside so this can't happen.
In China, your video was interpreted as American glass vs. Chinese glass, saying that you are Americans and look down on Chinese glass. As a result, the first piece of American glass broke in a few times, and the second piece of Chinese glass was completely better than American glass. (I don’t understand English, so I use Google Translate, please forgive me)
A static target, regardless of how much reinforced it is, is more vulnerable to persistent engagement with time advantage resting with the aggressor- a static main battle tank is more vulnerable to devices a moving main battle tank could dodge or atleast avoid any persistent engagement with. Armor coupled with mobility increases surviavability against attempts of penetration which is why bulletproof glass providing visibility that helps with mobility and helps to mix in with average non bullet resistant vehicles is chosen over armored plates.
