It's not a race car, it's a comfortable cruiser with a V6. I have a new aud A5 2.0 TFSI and a citroen C5 3.0 HDI with hydro suspension and the C5 is my favorite car.
That's understandable and even though I agree with you, the suspension in sport mode is quite nice for faster turns. I'm not saying it's supposed to do that, but it can.
@@mikolamate9348 It's interesting to me that the C5 can do more than the body roll would suggest :D I'm always surprised how much it can handle in the corners, but it's far from pleasant imo. I just love it for the comfortable car it is :)
If it wasn't french I will get it either this or c6 exclusive but it's a money pit I am sticking to my Lexus not moving Lexus is tank but i might get for few months to try C5 exclusive or c6 exclusive they just have this character and quirkiness no other car can touch and the tech they had in 2008 it's mind blowing
you have 75% of your fuel left and you can go 540 km.... It means you drive very aggresively, my father has this exact same car also with the 3.0 hdi and he can go 1300 km on a full tank. Yours is very low, maybe it's because of the chip
Das beste Auto, was ich je hatte. Sehr bequem, satt auf der Autobahn, kraftvoller leiser Motor, niedriger Verbrauch. Was braucht man mehr?
Echter Verbrauch in Durchschnitt 7.5 L/100km. Momentan hat mein Wagen 376T km gelaufen und fährt wie neu. Absolut zuverlässig und bequem wie kein anderes Auto. Ehrlich.
This is very impressive. I bought C5 3.0 HDi from late 2010, engine and gearbox are in great condition. I wanted to remap the car by my self with Kess V2, but it cant be done via OBD, it seems that Tricore is needed. Anyone having any experience with that? Read/write actually. I did it to my 2002 2.0 hdi C5 with mpps and that wasnt very hard, got around 145hp so why not do it on this one also? :D
I have year 2010 also. With swedish tuner GDM Performance! It makes 307hp and 556 Nm of torque💪. Its a beast in sheepclothing. 220 000 km and runs perfect!
@@danielpernefur3384 thanks for the info, I will try to contact them to see if they would do it if I send them the ECU via post office and they do the remap and just send it back
I wouldnt say its slower, there are some marketing techniques in german cars that make them look faster, like 100kmh take half of speedometer in audi and the other half is 180 in s and rs lines, optical the liner goes much faster
@@cwuzii well its remapped 25 to 200 isnt much impressive, 330d with just 230 hp has almost same time maybe litttle slower but remapped makes about 21-22s, rwd makes alot of difference its heavy car bmw has 6s flat to 100, and citroen doesnt matter with that mass its hard to get under 8, maybe with some extra grip expensive tire
Mateusz Kozik yeah it’s probably mostly about weight. If I wanted 8seconds to 100mph I’d just buy a 320d or old golf gtd and it would be way better on fuel 🤷🏻♂️
i brought a Red 2005 Citreon C5 2.2 HDI 6spd manual Turbo on 10/08/2020 for $1000, with RU 1000ks. Travel from Picton to the Buller on the Westcoast doing 90k to 100k open road and lota hills, upon gettin back home it cost $20 to fill the tank back up 5.4Lper k /100. it work out 15.15 ltrs to get home, this car so smooth i drove it all day for the next 2 days, final word, its fast , cheap to run for its place in 2020, with its light feel;ing on the steering wheel and if you know how drive one, it sticks to the left line on the road like glue fuckin amazing car
The v6 is a cool engine, but only if you care about it. My dad bought a 3.0 v6 hdi 241 hp (the exact same engine as in the video) in August 2021 and he alredy had to pay around 1500€ in manufacturing, because the previous owner didn't care about it (and it has only 180k km on it). the car runs very smoothly now and I don't think he's going to sell it in the near future. If you want to buy a 3.0 hdi you should look not necessarily for a small mileage but for a car with full service history and the proof that someone cared about it.
Your Volvo weights 1460 kilos against the C5's 1760 kilos. So put 5 men in the Volvo, a full tank of gas and go see how it goes when both cars weight the same. :)
No citroen is different engine, problem with camshaft was with 2.7hdi and 3.0built on it, 3.0hdi in c5 is completely different engine and never been in any other car
Wow. I also bought C5 3.0 hdi and mechanics dont want to making service of it! They explain this that is a ticking bomb engine.. For now i have 130k mileage and when I read that you have 230 without problems its honey to my heart :) Did you change the oil pump?
TheColt1911 maybe you shouldn't. The Aisin-Transmission is with 450nm of Torque already running on it's limit, since this is the highest the manufacturer "allows". Maybe it has some reserves, but +60hp seems like an overkill to me :D
