Brands need to understand that classical European music is not the only music you can select for an epic video... it's precisely what Justin is saying...
FSR big hit was my first specialized. I want the ohlins version. At least a demo on one. If I had time to ride more and didn’t already have a few bikes I would really consider buying one.
12 years later and still zero vertical adjustability under the ears. I don't understand how a company can hold itself in the market with ideas like this. Unbelievable. Helmet is going back, obviously.
LG Marvin
Had you been fair and also put aero handlebars of the same width and an aero carbon fork on the steel bike (easy and pretty affordable to do), that 50 seconds advantage over 40 km would drop by about 60%, down to 20 seconds. The leading edges are more critical, aerodynamically. To put this 20 seconds over 40 km that the isolated Venge frame likely saves into perspective, there are aero socks that claim to save 17 seconds over 40 km. And that's about where you should rank the aerodynamic savings of an isolated aero road bike frame, roughly on par with aero socks, aero water bottles, etc. Yes, there is a small aero improvement, but drastically less than each of position, wheels, helmet, clothing, or handlebars (and trivial compared to the combination of these)-hardly worth the exorbitant price of these big name framesets. By pushing engineering nonsense such as espoused in this video, the modern cycling industry has all but destroyed a once affordable sport with its beautifully elegant equipment.
Now the chisel hardtail need some changes to, slacker HT, steeper STA, longer wheel base, but if specialized did that the chisel full suspension is not goin to to sell.
thanks for sharing this kind of videos. We have an amazing sport, and is beautiful to see this guys and girls to grow as athletes and achieve this level. Hayley is a true example to be followed, and to know she even takes all of the pressure off, as she completely loves the process, makes it even better, hats off to her. For more athletes like her.
How are the spez Kicker tyres like in the wet pavement? They only do them in 2.1" not very wide.looking between Kicker Vs Nimbus sport 2 x2.3" for winter road/ street riding
Nice to see him doing well after that crash but hey I see backflips are getting stomped now or at least 2 years ago.. ms still has the best 360 tucks ..
Kinda sad that she retired from the racing circuit at such a young age. Obvioulsy if your heart isn't in it anymore, then there's no point, and I'm glaf she found solace and a calling in something else. This video definately had a melancholy feel to it, but I'm glad she's found a her rythem post-racing, and is at peace with her choice to retire.
We got one of these for my 8yo a few months back. Now we go out proper trail riding together without the moaning and tantrums! We get real quality time together and our relationship has grown immensely because of the time together. Seriously recommend this bike!!
