Variety video game live streaming (although tendencies towards Nintendo, SEGA, and Capcom) as well as videos including reactions, discussions, reviews, ranked lists, and more!
> The creator got the rights back, we'll never get a game again He's been wanting to finish the story/cliffhanger to Ecco TToT for YEARS but he can't find a studio and publisher, last I checked. He's working on something dolphin-related, though.
It feels like I'm one of the few people that popped off at this announcement, Pizza Tower is one of my favorite games of all time, and I was not expecting this at all (for a number of reasons). Highly recommend that you check it out, if you get the chance! Edit: The full game's release was in January of 2023, but demos and various builds of the game have been floating around the Internet for several years before then, most famously the SAGE 2019 demo.
LOL something tell me you wouldn’t 😂 in all honestly I just don’t like how MultiVersus feels to play. Maybe I’ll try it out again in a little while but no guarantees
Definitely good they revealed the sword for those who want more traditional gameplay, yeah it’s a bit revealing but still cool to see the little details
I'm glad it's there but even more so I love the fact that swordfighter style is limited. More than anything I didn't want this game to be just another Zelda game but with a Princess Zelda reskin. 😂 This makes it feel unique and different, it really sets it apart from a 'regular' Zelda game. Also: the Shadow Link teaser looks like the area where you get the Mysterious Sword. So I'm guessing you have to defeat Shadow Link and then you get the sword.
Completely agree about the limited nature of the sword, otherwise what’s the point of playing as Zelda right? And oh good catch, yeah that definitely seems likely!
Fun fact they arnt even using recieve you reborn in the Japanese version meaning the switch version is the most inferior version there is of the game since even the xhox 360 and ps3 ports of kiwami had it lol
I remember having both Croc games on PS1. I remember beating the first one and man those levels towards the end were insane! They made me rage so much! Croc 2 I have a special place in my heart because that one I have nostalgia over with the hub world and the levels from the beginning of that game. I never beat that one though because my step dad threw the PS1 in the trash when I was having bad grades in school lol. I was a good student later on though. Kaboo, Ispak, Yazoo and Wahai are words that I never thought I’d hear again but here we are! First seeing a post about this game coming back made me cry real tears 😭
KERSPLAT! I’ve only played 2 and have a ton of nostalgia for it, so I’m really excited to be able to check out the first game officially! Between this and Power Stone coming back I’m really feeling the nostalgia
Its getting a normal retail physical release for both ps5 and switch. A deluxe edition that comes with a art book and the standard version. I ordered the deluxe edition. The physical releases on feb 21, 2025
They are many reasons which are valid 1.It is a remake of the first game 2. It is gonna be the foundation of the tv shows story 3. Kiwami is a standalone story and won't affect much if you miss 0 (they are some like Pocket Racing and other reference don't get me wrong).
So glad that we’re getting Power Stone 1 & 2 in this collection. I remember when I had a PSP and played the crap out of that Power Stone Collection, loved it.
Hi, there. I know this comment is 2 years late, but I'm glad to see that someone who isn't much of an RPG fan gave this game a shot as the _Xenoblade_ series is my favorite of all time. I don't know if you had a chance to play the other games like XC2 or XC3 yet, but if not, I highly recommend you do as they're great. If you loved the character writing of XC1, I think the character writing is improved in the later games as more time is spent on the full party rather than just the protagonist. XC2 in particular is my favorite as it has my favorite OST as well as the best villains in the franchise. The side quests are also massively improved in the later games, with XC3 in particular having some of the best side quests in any game ever. In XC1, most of the quests were simple fetch quests with just one that was voice-acted (the "Melancholy [SPOILER]" one in the final chapter). In XC2, there are fewer quests overall, but each one has more depth to it, and the optional/recruitable characters each have a voice-acted quest. XC3 has recruitable characters as well, and they each have an overarching questline with their respective hometown as well as 2 voice-acted quests each. Speaking of the music, the composers for these games are fantastic. The first game was composed by Manami Kiyota, ACE, Kenji Hiramatsu, and the legendary Yoko Shimomura (from Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario RPG, Street Fighter II, etc.). The ending vocal theme, "Beyond the Sky," was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, who's a close friend of series creator Tetsuya Takahashi as he also composed _Xenogears_ and the 1st _Xenosaga_ game. For XC2 and XC3, Mitsuda takes over as the lead composer with all the other composers returning minus Shimomura, and those OSTs are fantastic as well.
Appreciate the comment all these years later! Funnily enough I actually just ordered XC2 since the physical version was restocked at video games plus, so hopefully I’ll like it!
@@MegaAmpster For XC2, if you find yourself struggling in the early game, I would definitely recommend watching an online tutorial like Chuggaaconroy’s 10-minute non-spoiler guide. The tutorials in XC2 are pretty bad as you cannot re-read them in the game. For example, they could introduce a mechanic that doesn’t become important until maybe 4-5 hours later, and by the time you reach the point where you need to know it, you might have forgotten what it said as you can’t re-read it. XC2 has an inherently more complex battle system than XC1, so there’s a bit of a learning curve, but I’d also argue it makes the payoff of learning it much more satisfying as peak performance in XC2 combat allows you to pull off insane timing-based combos and crazy damage. If you enjoyed the Break-Topple system of XC1, you’ll definitely like the XC2 version of it. Since you just ordered XC2, I should mention that the DLC campaigns for these games are fantastic. _Torna_ is a fantastic prequel that should be played after you finish XC2. It’s an additional 20-hour campaign that only costs $30, which is the best value you can get from DLC across the entire gaming industry. The same goes for the _Future Redeemed_ DLC for XC3 as that’s the culmination of the entire trilogy that has references across the board and is best saved for last.
@Mr96POP I’ve heard the DLCs are great as well, I’ll have to check them out! And good to know the tutorials aren’t great, that’s a bit of a bummer but hopefully I can find some on YT, thanks for the suggestions!
Might have to check this out at some point, this would be my first time with Kiwami! Hopefully they’ll bring over Zero at some point, seems like a good starting point
@@Dylan_Platt "Party staples"? For the handful of people who had a Dreamcast, and then on top of that were using it to play something besides 2d fighters.
@@functionatthejunction look, i don't know what to tell you. DC didn't sell great by mass market penetration standards, but there were still millions across the US. And while it did excel in 2D fighters, it had tons of other great party games -- Soul Caliber, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5, REZ, Chu Chu Rocket, Cannon Spike, the early 2K sports games, and, believe it or not, Power Stone 1 & 2. If those aren't your gaming memories from that era, that's fine, but if you're gonna act like the console only sold to a handful of hardcore 2D fighting fans, then you're just being disingenuous and willfully ignorant.
I won't be able to get MVC2 Day 1 because Space Marine 2 will be coming out around that time, but I will get it in the future. But good lord, Power Stone 1, 2 and Project Justice? Nah I'm getting that Day 1. Collection 2 is basically 50% of my childhood's Dreamcast library. Man, Capcom really out here making us go broke. MVC2, Monster Hunter Wilds and now Collection 2 all in a few months of each other.
Clever move by SEGA. They releasing the remake of the original game on the most popular game platform on the same day as the Like A Dragon TV show drops on amazon prime october the 24th. This is strictly to get the casuals to buy the game who might become fans of the show and want to play the game. They will market the game on the show as well. This has nothing to do with gamers as were not the target audience meaning any future releases depends on how the TV show does or when the next season happens they will drop kiwami 2. This is part of SEGA's overall transmedia plan so expect to see this from now on. They already rereleased Alien Isolation to tie with the new alien movie, and they releasing two Sonic games to tie in with Sonic the hedgehog 3,
