Lost In Paradise Hey my name is Kenneth, and I live in a beautiful tropical paradise called Puerto Rico. Join the adventure by subscribing for local travel vlogs.
Yo nací en el barrio Pámpanos, fui a la escuela elemental Eugenio Maria de Hostos, Intermedia Dr Rafael Pujals then Ponce high school.❤❤joined the USNavy and I decide to reside in NC and Ohio. But my heart always stayed in Ponce. It is a city with multiple cultures and historical. The Vejigantes are paper mache demon masks with horns but the festival takes place 6 days before lent in February or March. The Ponce Hotel Intercontinental was vacant in 1979 and after that was abandoned and it became a hotel for homeless and drug users. Nearby the Serralle Castle built in 1936 by Francisco Serralles a man who came from Spain and made Ponce the number rum destilary and sugar cain employment bloom all over Southern Puerto Rico. Serralles named the area Merceditas after his mother, so when the airport was settled over that land it became Mercedita International Airport since back in the 60th Pam Am had three weekly nonstop flights from Ponce (PSE) to New York. During the 70th that service was discontinued and a 10 passengers charter yet named Prinair flew passengers to the San Juan airport to continue their trips abroad. Ponce is a town with one thousand and one stories. Movies has been filmed about histories we lived here. Three movies were made about a man named Antonio Correa Cotto, the first Puertorican outlaw in record history. A movie about Isabel La Negra , Luberza Oppenheimer, a woman who illegally operated the first brothers house in the Caribbean. It was along story that lasted 7 decades until Isabel was assassinated in January 5th, 1974. Ponce had 137 Mayors and only one female Mayor (Mayita) Ponce has Victorian Firehouse unique in the whole world. It hosts The Art Musseum the best in the Caribbean. La Perla Theater, La Guancha. Celebrities born in Ponce. Hector Lavoe, Cheo Feliciano, Mary Pily, Mirian Colon, Yolanda Rivera,
Thank you so much. i don't know why they say Puerto Rico length and width is actually 100 x 35. It actually is 135 length x 45 width. Ponce also is going to have a Mega Project, I believe it's worth 1 billion. Please put it up load to your channel, I SUBSCRIBED. I would like to hear from you as My Mom was born in Aguadilla. I LOVE the architecture in Poncé and Viejo San Juan !! I’m curious about the mountain towns in the interior: are there any with beautiful community-centers & plazas like Poncé’s parque de Bombas ?
