Sir.. yesterday I bought whal elite pro.then I try it now but suddenly I'm very disappointed for this machine.because it cannot cut hair the blade is not good.. please tell me what I'm doing..thanks..watching Saudi Arabia
Clarification... Wahl says (fine print) it's their most powerful motor ever in their consumer clippers. The Wahl designer and others that use the V5000 motor are stronger and obviously the Seniors and more affordable Icons have the strongest V9000 motor.
I am ordering the same clipper, but from the UK and that should be fine as I live in Australia as both countries use 240V 50Hz power supply voltage. However, if I travel to US/Canada, which is not too often, it will not work with just a power adapter due to the 110V 60Hz voltage there. I do have a transformer I left with in with my relatives in Canada, but that doesn’t change the frequency though. However with these motors, it is more important to bring down the voltage, the 60 Hz will only make it go faster by 20%.
Great review my brother, I’m Canadian as well and have been looking to upgrade my cutter to this one. I have a cheaper WAHL I’ve been using for over 6 years now that has suffered lots of abuse and it still works. Nothing bad to say about this company.
Very informative and useful. Thank you. The background music is unnecessary and disturbing to listening to your talking. It would be very nice for this video or any other video that the background music is excluded. Thanks.
I bought these clippers for about $50(US) and for the price considering all that you get it can't be beat. The guards are very sturdy with metal clips that attach to the machine and alone go for about $30. The machine itself is heavier than just about any other clipper on the market at 2.5 lbs but if you're using these at home for yourself and your kids it shouldn't tire you out. if you were using them all day in a barbershop you might feel like you're in a gym doing curls after about 5 or 6 hours.
You need to adjust your blades. The top blade tip of blade should be equal distance from the bottom tip of blade from left to right. You have more distance on the right side, in this video. That will cut the hair unevenly and made a fade less crisp. To do this, turn the clipper over to the bottom, slightly loosen the two large screws on the blade housing and manually adjust the blades to give a slight even-all-the-way gap between the tip of the top blad and the tip of the bottom blade. This is a point where you can ''zero gap'' your blades, meaning you leave no space between the tips of the top and tips of the bottom blades, but this is only recommended if you know what you are doing and your kids can sit still, as it is more likely to cut skin this way.
I bought the elite pro over a year and I can honestly say that thing does the job. I'm a barber and believe it or not, this is one of my go to machine.
@@jaysteph2978 Thanks for the reply! I use a zero gapped trimmer for the skin part and lining up. I ended up buying the elite pro and it arrived today. Haven't cut with it yet but the quality is excellent.
@@jaysteph2978i, old post but hopefully you still reply - Do you need to zero gap for all fading when not from skin? I’m new to this so sorry if that sounds a little dumb
I have the same card and it used to work a few months ago with zoom , teams and skype but for 4 months now i no longer can use the elgato with the Teams client app. It will still work with the web version but that is limited to display features. Is yours still working with the teams app? It does show up in the settings but the far end does not get the video
I bought these 5 days ago, and have the Wahl color coming in the mail. I"m amazed I can buy a kit with so many pieces for only 67 Canadian... It seems of such high quality... are these type of Units known to crap out after a couple years? Somethings not adding up, such quality for such a low price.
Mine is still going fine, and I've already had my money's worth, especially when compared with the cost of getting a haircut at the barber shop post covid.
Excellent review. Hope you do more of them. I just picked one of these up for my hair (white guy with short sides and back, a bit longer on top). The thing worked great with my limited skills. Agree with all your comments and yeah, a divided case is a great idea.
Thanks so much for this review. We bought the clippers and I’m going to use them for the first time shortly so your video helped prepare me for that task. (And your kid is cute!☺️). Thanks again!
I've had this machine since 2016. These are great all around clippers. I fade with this all of the time and you have to know the proper technique to blend (go long to short). I've cut long and short hair and if you make good use of the guard combs, you can cut great styles with it. You may be able to use it for trimming, but I use the Wahl T-Pro trimmers.
If you're looking for this model but with the left and right ear taper guards the model # is 79734. I just ordered mine on Best Buy for $64 total. Model # 79602 doesn't include the ear guards. Hope this helps anyone.
