You have caught the feeling of being alone - just you and the mountain and struggling to achieve your goals - so well! That was awesome! The pain and the beauty. Love it
Thank you very much for sharing your experience, everything you recorded is very useful to me, since I want to do Cerro Torre next year, would you be so kind as to share the GPX route with me.
To the many compliments and observations here I'd like to add that it is refreshing to not get the ego dominating the video/audio or the excessive wittering navel-gazing at the centre of much epic adventuring films/vlogs. Thanks for uploading.
thirteen and a half hours digging a snow cave?!!?? You didn't know there's a Sheraton just after the next pitch? Seriously, This is the craziest shit I've ever seen. Colin Haley, you have a new fan. Head-mounted gopros will change mountaineering filmography forever.
Sketchy ascent mate, well done. That looked terrifying. I can understand it would be incredibly hard to find a suitable partner for this kind of venture, I have enough trouble finding someone to just go for a hike with.
good that you left all the language in, it wouldn't seem 'real' without it. Also lets me understand how you think when you are doing this solo. Crazy brave stuff!
just found this. what an unbelievebly great video! In particular the climbing section underlayed with the sound of portishead blew me away. What an unlively(?) environment you put yourself in. It seems so fantastic and also unreal. Great job putting it together in the video. It had me sucked in the whole time. I am really impressed!
