This was just like in Walking Dead Season 1 Game where Lee Clementine and the Motor Inn Group were invited walked in the Dairy Farn people that became cannibals right after dinner!
*The Termites are way too friendly in an oily kind of way. Makes your gut turn. It's unsettling how nice they are. A real sanctuary would have drawn their guns out as soon as seeing Rick and his group.*
There’s actually four items that Rick recognizes from the prison: 1. The orange backpack 2. The shawl belonging to Maggie 3. The prison riot gear/armor 4. The watch belonging to Glenn
Right as they came into contact with this group I knew something was off. I knew something was wrong immediately when they were grilling. There are no cows.
The fact that the terminus group is so small inspite of the fact that they supposedly invite everyone in is a bit of a dead give away right off the bat. Even if they hadn't been cannibals, probably not safe to stay in a place you could easily break into.
i miss walking dead when it wasn't woke. It became this political, strong female lead nonsense. I tried to watch the new negan stuff, but i couldn't make it 10 minutes into it. Woke destroys everything.
@@ijneb1248 I see your point. Maybe I am being dramatic. It’s just that walking dead was so amazing until they started pushing the lgbt stuff and made these women characters these amazing leaders. I can believe that there are zombies but not strong female leaders. That’s a bridge too far for me. Then in the final season they pushed their Marxist crap. You could tell the writers were writing for themselves and not the audience.
This is what I loved, how sharp rick was. This scene just reminded me of how daryl had noticed that rick knew about how shane came back with a dead man's gun but didn't say anything.
FYI the cannibal bit in the comics was not a long story either. They actually expanded it a bit to make the Terminus story in the show. The actor who plays Gareth in this winds up in Once Upon A Time after this aired and I... I dunno. I might watch it one of these days but I'm having trouble with the idea of him as a good guy.
Somehow sometimes you can tell only by seing someones face if a person is trustful or not. Later in season 10 I knew something was wrong with Siddiq`s assistant.
There's one cool detail i haven't seen a single comment pick up on in this clip. Its the real reason why Rick pulled his gun on the guy in the courtyard. Besides the fact that he saw artifacts that belonged to the rest of his crew; not a single other person in the Terminus group even acknowledged their existence as they walked in. If Terminus was as advertised, they'd be eager to see new people come in. That told Rick that it was a set up and they were all probably armed. Considering they were outnumbered and there could have even been people on the roof, there would be no way Rick and the group would make it out of there if they didnt have some kind of upperhand first. Knowing that, Rick put a gun to the guy's head and gave the group a hostage and allowed them to be the ones to have their guns drawn first. When they do that, you see all the Terminus people looking at them with their guns flashing in their wasteband confirming it was a set up to take the group down easy. Clearly the main characters were still taken captive after this, but drawing first and taking and also taking a hostage was the only way. Anyways, I just thought that was a cool subtle touch that not many people picked up on. Most people just thought he could tell something was off because they had their peoples' stuff and Rick just said screw it and pulled a gun. It was a much more well-thought out and smart move than given credit for imo.
