Hello there! I'm Sarah a hand spinner and fibre artist. I create handspun and hand dyed fibres from an 18th century coastal cottage in beautiful wild West Cornwall.
After learning to knit and sew as a young girl I began a lifelong love affair with colour and texture. I love to experiment with fibres and enjoy creating unique colour ways inspired by my surroundings and everyday life.
I love to create handspun yarns including unique one-of-a-kind (OOAK's) art yarns, hand dyed wool tops in various natural fibres, hand blended art batts and rolags and hand dyed yarns.
To dye my hand dyed fibres and yarns I use non-toxic professional acid dyes that produce the most radiant of colours. I use low immersion dyeing techniques in my home studio and dry them outside (where possible) in the Cornish sea air.
