Climate change is a funny way to say bark beetle but that is what I would expect from someone who dresses like a movie henchmens girl friend. Peel the bark off those dead trees and you are gonna find little tunnels where the bark beetles destroyed the cambian and the xylom tube effectively killing the trees. This is also happening in North America. I know this because I have a degree in horticultural and integrated pest management and this is what I do for a living.
Yes it is bark beetle, but I spoke to local forest rangers there that day that they told me those bark beetles have been there due to weather changes that's due to climate change. They apparently weren't an issue in those German forests some decades ago. Just tryna raise awareness by sharing what forest rangers told me, no need to be a massive dick about it.
