This looks sick!! Is there Primer infused spray paints? Lol this is gonna be my first custom figure attempt and I’m curious if I need more than white and blue for the coating
You may be able to find a paint and primer in one. They have them, but the paints I had were separate. Check your local hobby shop and you may find what you're looking for. Have fun with the custom!
@@superheumann thanks , i’m gonna be using a retro vision marvel legends body mold (I collect legends primarily) I find it’s almost the perfect mold for Manhattan
You'll need a magnifying glass if you don't already have one. First off, eyes suck. I'm not going to lie. I use a toothpick and get a tiny amount of white paint for the sclera, then a drop of black for the irises (or whatever color you want the irises to be). The key is then doing another small drop of white on the irises to act like light reflection. It makes a huge difference, trust me.
@@superheumann I’ve got magnifying glasses with lights on them could prob give them a go just hard as all hell as you say they suck. Had a 3D printed Batfleck head I got off of Etsy while back head was great even got a great skin tone. Could I do the eyes. Eventually I got a Mezco head and turned that into DCEU concept flashpoint Batman so just painted over the eyes red
@@superheumann would you take on the task I have to make a custom for me ? I’d pay good money. You could take as much time as you need to make it look perfect.
@@superheumann if you’re up to the Challenge I’m looking for a Captain Atom Monarch from the 44 countdown series comic book run. I’d prefer him to be in the 7 inch range of scale.
Hey Steven! Have you tried using water to smooth out your Milliput? I like to use a wet paint brush to smooth it out or I’ll wet my finger and it gets really smooth. It helps to get it really flush with the figure, but great work! I love the work you put into it! Came out really nice
Wow! This is great! I think there is some judge Dredd figure but it’s like $200. Too much money. I used a lex urge as mr freeze probably year before Mr freeze came out from McFarlane. I have it in my Mr freeze figure review video if you’d want to see it.
The head you used looks like lady gaga from some angles, my sister glanced at my phone and said "is that guy making lady gaga" and I said no and I looked at the head again and from some angles it looks like her lmao. Love the metallic green with the glow in the dark edge, as you said it makes it really pop.
Lighter flesh tones are hard to make but I think you did a great job. Though I don't have any fancy acrylic paints due to the price, I just pick up whatever I can find. There's 1 store that carries miniature paints near me and it's $7 for a single pot of paint.
The flesh tone I used was actually from a Hobby Lobby and I think I got it for $2. If you have a craft store in your area you can get pretty cheep paints. They aren't as good as the more expensive stuff, but if you're spraying the figure with a sealer after the fact, they can work just fine and save you some money.
Under wonderful action figure I like it good job keep up the good work. By the way I think RU-vid was trying to screw with you again because for some reason it told me I wasn't subscribed to you so I had to resubscribe you.
I'm sorry but I have to say this what kind of cheap glue. Todd use to put those figures together. hot glue I mean seriously all you have to use is some hot water and and stuff instantly starts popping off that's probably Elmer's glue The stuff the kid in the back would eat.
Only when it's heated up for a bit and is softened can it be removed, I've never had any issues with the symbols falling off, they are also keyed in which helps. They are solidly attached.
Cool concept and good work. I got the Knight fall Batman in black and the oval bat emblem had yellow paint on the edge where it was supposed to be black. I used a sharpie to go over the black for that fine line or edge around the "bat". You might try that in the future.
