Hi. I want your advice on my 2019 road king. I had to upgrade the engine to 117 stage 3 with V&S headers, KW exhaust and Fuel pack tune. The bike has annoying ticking noise (valve noise??) and numbing fine vibration that causes me to loos sensation in my feet. the biggest issue is that with the RPM less than 3 it feels and sounds like I have maxed out on the gear and need to shift ... I basically have to shift quickly to 5th gear and stay below 70 MPH to avoid the vibration and the noise. Do you know what is going wrong here? Is it normal to have these issues with the upgrade? please help I don't and can't enjoy my bike anymore
Good, informative video. I understand you have to be postitive. And honestly, it's a great bike, if it works that is. Unfortunately it's jam packed with electronics issues, battery and starting issues. Mine blew 2 batteries in 4 months, has never ending electronic issues (dash fails, doesn't connect to the key, ride mode issues, engine light flicks on and off ...) not to speak of the fact that the ARH regularly decides just to stay in the high position. The last 4 months, it's been more at my dealer than on the road, so to speak. I have the feeling that here in Europe, dealers get almost no real support from Harley Davidson USA. Or maybe simply they also don't know how to fix things. There is still a looooong way to go before you may rightfully call this 'the best of the best'. Right now I'd say 'a moderatly good first effort, but let's wait 5 years and see how it evolves'. But, to end on a positive note, that revolution max engine is an absolute winner!
Stage 3 Big Bang for the buck without going deep into your pocket for new injectors, ported big valve heads, and labor. But this video is dated it doesn’t include the 119/122ci which I am a big fan of EXCEPT that instead of giving you the stage 3 SE498 cam that was designed for the 11-1 pistons that Harley is shorting is with the SE447 cam that can’t rev & can’t breathe by comparison. I think this is due to the 120HP/130TQ that it can produce being too close to the cash cow stage 4 kits. Not that the stage 4 kit has less value as it includes bigger injectors & ported big valve heads plus more cam. The stock injectors & heads are fully utilized in a stage 119/122 with stage 3 SE498 cam so it still depends large on if you have future power upgrade plans.
I just put this in the primary of my 16 Street Bob when it was recommended by the service dept at my local harley.... I made sure to ask twice if they meant the transmission and they said no.. for the primary as well. Same price as the Mobil 1 75 140 so no biggie...
Pardon the ignorance, just a question, I heard from an acquaintance that it might be possible to get riding classes included with the purchase of a bike? Is this true?
