Upat S.A. (Pty) Ltd, a 100% South African owned business, commenced trading in 1983. From the outset, Upat S.A. (Pty) Ltd was committed to supplying top quality products to the mining, construction, building and allied trades.
Today, we represent several international companies in Southern Africa. These brands include: STABILA market leader in spirit levels, measuring equipment and latterly construction lasers; fischer fixings and fasteners, Milwaukee and AEG Power Tools, Eibenstock German Engineered diamond coring and associated products; Starmix specialised vacuum cleaners for industrial use and Milwaukee, leaders in portable heavy-duty power tools for the professional user.
This was not an accurate test. The pivot point of the longer level is at a greater distance meaning that while the point at which the cards were placed would be risen to the same hight, the shorter Stabila is at a more obtuse angle. 🤦♂
1:20 maybe they do stay STABLE for 10+years if you don't use them, but when u use them when they drop a few times they're trash, happened with all 3 stabila levels we bought, i'm not saying stabila isn't good, i'm just saying when you actually work with it everyday mistakes happen, and they don't show correctly, at least the regular levels ( not electronic). But I was wondering if there is anyone in any profession that could actually fix them when they go "bad" ??
Most of the Stabila levels have multiple lines on either side of the bubble at center. What is the amount of out of level measurement for each increment on the Stabila levels?
Stabila fans, check out the How Far Out tm level gauge at www.howfarout.com. Our Stabila Plug-n-Play model mounts instantly to any Stabila 96/196 or Tech series level to give quick precise surveys of out-of-level/plumb conditions. As a millwork installation specialist, I invented it for close-quarters work in older structures, such as fitting new doors to existing frames. For Stabila Tech levels, the gauge can be used to calibrate the digital module with absolute precision. With the level resting on any horizontal surface, just use the gauge's level adjustment screw to dial the bubble into perfect position, then press the calibrate button. A single HFO Plug-n-Play gauge can be used with multiple Stabila levels. It simply snaps on and off by taking the place of the Stabila removable end cap. We also offer a Universal model that includes a magnetic adapter. It can be used with Stabila XTL, 108T, and 80T, as well as other premium brands.

Not a fan of Milwaukee or Stabila (I actually only use Stabila levels, full disclosure), but... This is just an idiotic "test". No control for variables. 1) Different length levels means the pivot is at different points; in particular, the Milwaukee Redstick's pivot is further back - of course its bubble will not move as much. 2) More importantly: for _any_ such testing, you need a perfectly flat reference surface....not a freaking used bar table. LULZ.
Have you made this same test with Stabila vs. Sola? According to published specs, the result would be quite different. Proof is in the pudding. Please try it and let us all know.
