I have this macbook and it broke down out of nowhere. I wanna transfer my files from the hard drive to another computer, is the hard drive the same as the ssd? Which adaptor do you suggest? Im panickiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing, gotta submit something inside it on Monday 😭😭😭
I have been using this Mac Book from 2012. I am writing this comment using the same Mac Book. Hopefully, it will be good for at least next couple of years or more.
Please donnt lube your switches with WD-40 as WD-40 is a petroleum based degreaser and will over-time corrode your plastic of your switch . Please use something like a thin oil like singer oil and also use it very minimally for the springs for the legs of the switches lube it with something called dielectric grease .
There are some adapters(with battery) available which converts USB Keyboards to Bluetooth. But, those are hard to come by. Probably sometime in the future I will try come up with a DIY solution.
Did everything work? I have the same laptop with i5-2450m and when i installed a new ram my slot 1 is not working...till today only slot 2 was working and i was unaware of it.
Yup, It works flawlessly. Not getting the maximum speed the SSD is rated for, but still quite faster than a SATA SSD. No special configuration or BIOS Change was required. Post installation I just switched the Boot Device selection from BIOS.
This is 2012 Model only. The process will be same. I also had the same issue when I added the non compatible RAM. You can try to boot the MAC with 1 RAM stick at a time to find the faulty on or to check whether both are faulty, then replace the faulty RAM and hopefully it will solve the issue.
I did not screwed the adapter down, the screw holes did not align properly. Also, I plugged in the battery connector after forcefully jamming in the SSD adapter.
So internet recovery works for the 2017 version. I see others use bootable usb instead of the internet recovery and I don't why they do this. Also users mention specific MacOS needed first. I want to upgrade my 2011 air but hesitant of the issues stated. Does the older macs support the internet recovery for the ssd upgrade?
It was already enabled in my case, in order to view the nVME drive use the Disk Management to assign the drive. While installing OS, it is also visible.
Hey i also buy same motherboard B365m Gaming HD, GPU gigabyte 710 ddr5, RAM kingston 2400 8gb ssd m.2 samsung, processor 9100f gigabyte SMPS 550 wt but it is unable to displaying i mean pc i on just like video but unable to graphics i think data is not comming to RAM any body can help me i don't know how to check it
It will not make much of a difference, the components which you mentioned are of better quality and will have a longer warranty. But, the generic RAM was about half the price and I already had the spare WD Blue m.2 nVME SSD lying around from a previous build.
Non graphically demanding titles like Fifa or CS GO, etc. can be played just fine, especially indie titles. Don't expect to run AAA titles without adding a discreet GPU, I would highly recommend a RTX 3050, the price is coming down lately.
Update your Quest to the latest firmware, you can find the option in the settings menu. It will take hardly 10-15 minutes. Then the game will appear on the Quest Store.
No, this is a B460 motherboard meant for intel 10th Gen processors. intel 9th Gen processors use LGA 1151 socket, whereas intel 10th Gen processors use LGA 1200 socket. There is a similar motherboard Gigabyte B365M Gaming HD, which can be used.
The MSI B365 PRO is better in terms of both convenience and features. But, if you are planning on using it 24x7x365, I would suggest this Gigabyte B365M Gaming for durability. Its been switched on for more than a year now, without any downtime or issues
