Yep. Just another way for Lenovo slim laptops is a DC adapter to battery like in this video but for startup only. Power supply stays the same. Originally such a laptop has 20V in USB-C. You just need a small "better impulse from battery" at startup. Coz it's dead (or removed). No need to take it out completely. Simply improve startup voltage for the battery. Red and black wire. Attach a DC here (in parallel) with the same voltage as written on the battery. Startup takes one or two seconds when turning the laptop on. Then disconnect the DC adapter when keyboard lights go on. This works for Lenovo with an integrated battery.
I had to remove swollen battery of TOSHIBA portege laptop, uses C-type charger... I was wandering if it would work without battery but no... I know there is a way but I don't know
@@Its__MeShorts Some laptops are able to boot without a battery. others not. Anyway, You can open the cover and disconnect the battery. Try boot it. In my case I have just gave 2 seconds impulse like it has a good battery. The laptop tries small interaction on startup. Charger checks whether BMS gives ok or not. In my case. That's it. Works from usb-c charger now - while I'm writing. Battery replacement maybe waste of money. I have seen videos people hacking BMS to update charging cycles data on chips, replacing expensive lithium cells. For economy reason. Also I've seen laptop working from a single DC adapter to the battery connector. Also may be possible, depends on laptop. Anyway, You can touch battery connector plus and minus with a DC as battery voltage when booting for a short time and see how it reacts. Does it give led lights. But then there should be a disclaimer :) Hacking is a risky thing but, sometimes there is nothing to lose at all. Next time buy a laptop with a removable battery. In-built is a scam in my opinion. Besides, bios is a small chip that can be updated with special instruments. Other bios configuration may work without battery check. But I don't know these things.
@@Its__MeShorts Battery replacement is the safe way. Bios update requires desoldering of the chip. Some hardware just can be turned on somehow without expensive and unnecessary lithium replacement.
It’s over a decade and still people say higher mah battery is fake. Well it seems the technology is degrading or public are not allowed to use higher mah because it disrupts their business ?
Thanks for this video and your switch instruction. I thought I needed a new one but the fix was much simpler. Apparently over time the lid lever screws loosened up. So I tightened the two phillips head screws on each lever and the lever contacted the switch properly again ... washer fixed.
Subaru transmission is FRONT wheel drive with a rear axle that is constantly driven by the center differential slippery clutch system. Why do you all get this wrong and claim it to be rear bias. You can keep on the gas and pull the handbrake to slide while front wheels are SPINNING just like they do in RALLY.

The engine was pulled from a 2002 IMPREZA TS wagon on July 19th 2021. It was not the original (we verified the VIN number). The car was purchased with blown valves for $120 and had over 300k miles on it
Hello dude. I have the ford focus 2014 without cruise control. If I buy a cruise from aliexpress I'm good with it or I need something else too? I can program it with forscan. So i need only the cruise button and I'm good?
you also need a different steering wheel to accomadate the cruise button. and yes you can just program it in via forscan. I would also consider buying the switch via ebay

I bought a new battery and it didn't help. I took the bottom off (as the video) and found the internal battery disconnected - I might have dislodged it but I don't think so. I reconnected the original. It didn't change anything. I installed the new battery, still didn't work. Info, please??

I can tell you the low range ratio is a waste of time , not low enough for good low speed torque when off road , as specially since Subaru engines have no bottom end torque !
Did you have to remove the rear catalytic converter to remove the transfer case? If so how I’m the hell did you do it lol 😫 I’ve looked everywhere on the internet, and I have no service manual 😢
@@samfeldman1508 NIce. the last one i did I didnt not even put a new switch, I just opened the old one and soldered it so its always engaged. Now the washer still runs even when it is open
Thanks very much. Despite trying to be careful, and removing the taptic engine to make the pull angle as shallow as possible, both adhesive tabs broke almost immediately I started pulling them out. I used a 25lb line (it was the only line I had!) and was only making limited progress. However, using two suggestions from another set of instructions, I applied a heat-gun on the outside of the case under the battery, and added a few drops of white spirit under the battery from the same end I had inserted the fishing line. Once I had allowed a little time to elapse, the fishing line seemed to work much more effectively and got the battery out within about 5 minutes. Thanks again. This idea really helped.
Its not that 5 speed is weak. Its that Subaru stupidly used a transmission designed for naturally aspirated engine torque with turbo cars. If you would turbo a Corolla or any other motor their transmissions would also fail much sooner, and it doesnt help that people who get them are idiots and increase further with access port bullshit when transmission is at its limit already with the stock wrx torque wise. Which is also the reason why STi finally got bespoke 6speed at the end of the 90s. Subaru just was too cheap to derive new 5mt from it for a lesser model.
