How I wish this beautiful gem was on Spotify! I created a long playlist that is a chronological psychological study on one of my favourite fictional characters and this song is absolute K E Y 🤧
Te conoci en soundcloud y me hipnotizo tu voz poderosa cantando oh darling.Hoy te sigo escuchando con el mismo arrobamiento.TE SALUDA FROM BUENOS AIRES, EMI ARBO.🎁🎁🎖.
This is not only my favorite song by Tom Odell, but also my favorite of all time. I am so lucky to say that I heard it live (11th of November 2018 Copenhagen) and actually gave him a bunch of roses
Here's what i got out of it: - If I walk in wild winters Will you walk with me? Or if I follow wide (often "blind" in live versions) rivers Might I find the sea? Or if I wrote my own language Yeah, might I find the words? Or if I change my old standards Yeah, might my heart be heard? Or if I gave my all Would you try? And if I said I was wrong, Is that right? Or if I say 'don't go' Honey, would ya Stay tonight? Or if I learn an old science Yeah, might I understand? Or if I practiced old violence Yeah, might I be a man? And if I found the right road now, yeah Yeah, would I find the start? Or if I built the right pieces Can you build a heart? (often "Can you fix a broken heart" in live versions) And if I gave my all Would you try? And if I said I was wrong Is that right? And if I say 'don't go' Would you stay tonight? If I gave my all Would you try? And if I said I was wrong Am I right? And if I said 'don't go' Would you stay tonight?
@@robinisademon Finaly!!! I've been singing it for so long and then just stopped and couldn't remember it but just keep finding the wrong lyrics..... thxx I remembered as soon as I saw your comment
@Robinisademon could you modify your first comment for this plz? I'm a 100% sure the only uncertitude i have is about the "secrets" There are all the correction that should be good 99% sure "Wild rivers" and "wide rivers" the second time refering to the bigger rivers going to the sea "If I wrote my own language, yeah, might i find the words" " If I change my old secrets(?)(not sure about secrets) will my heart be HEARD" "If I learned an old science, might I understand" And last it make more sense to suppose that the first two chorus are " if I say that's wrong, is that right" and the last one "If i say I'm wrong, am I right"
You took my time, yeah I wanna rest But you didn't smile you didn't say So I changed my style I changed my taste But still your eyes they looked away I'm trying to be better I'm trying to be more Im trying to be all of the things that you want I'm trying to stand taller I'm trying to get on I'm trying to be somebody that you could love, Lo-o-o-o-ove And I pushed my soul on every street Yeah, but you didn't come and you didn't see me And I'm trying to show you how it could be And then all you saw you broke on dreams. I say, you know... I'm trying to be better I'm trying to be more Im trying to be all of the things that you want I'm trying to stand taller I'm trying to get on I'm trying to be somebody that you could love, Oh Lo-o-o-o-ove Beautiful Lyrics :)
Today I met a woman I don’t think you know She showed me a smile nobody’s ever shown She took off her clothes and her jacket I fold She told me ‘bout somewhere behind a rose It’s looking out of bed she said “seen somebody’s clothes” It’s knowing that tomorrow you’re not gonna wake up alone It’s the feeling of her legs upon my bones, that’s the beauty behind the rose It’s walking down the street to your old home It’s the feeling of your feet on that familiar stone It’s all those little things she does that let you know That’s the beauty behind the rose And once you find it I know you won’t wanna go You stay up so late you’ll fall asleep in your clothes You can’t take back a song once it’s been wrote But that’s the beauty behind the rose
Really sad about so many songs that haven't been chosen to be put onto the new album, such as this one. Hopefully he'll release them all at some point, such great songs, all of them
