I love this! Watching you create to some good jazz music. All I need is a glass of wine, but I’m watching this at 10:00 in the morning. I’m going to save this to watch tonight! And of course I subscribed because you are super talented and I love your work! I may have to commission a piece!
It can definitely get overwhelming with so many options. I’m glad this helped! And yes, I’m making a video of my full process making art prints from start to finish this month. You can turn on notifications for updates as well!
Thanks for the cool video! Beautiful drawing. I'm learning a lot from watching your color choices for skintones. I have a dickens of a time with darker tones - very challenging to get the reds right. I think I see how to approach it better. Love your work!
Great, I’m glad it was helpful! A tip for darker skin tones: If you want it to be a warmer tone, I’d focus on using colors like alizarin crimson and yellow ochre (I even like to throw in a lot of orange straight out the tube like in my other jazz and art video painting) - and if you want it to be a cooler tone (kinda like in this video) I’d use more purple and burnt umber. And just add in white for highlights instead of using much yellow or red. I hope that helps!
@@ARTXSUN Thanks for the info! I draw digitally so I don't quite have those colors in a tube - but that gives me a great shot at getting it right. I am surprised there isn't a little more blue (I'm guessing that's part of what I get wrong) - does the purple carry it all? Great advice, thank you!
Thank you. You guys make a great looking couple, congratulations! I draw a lot of animals, insects, flowers...I like your bee. Awesome colors! It's fun watching you paint. [Love your doggo, too. :)]
Great video and explanation, you are funny, intelligent and it was very entertaining as well and I decided to follow your advise, Im buying next week the canon :) Thank you so much
What a phenomenal helpful vid! Thank you! The research we have to do is always so exhausting and overwhelming; grateful for your work! And the prints look amazing. Have used both brands for years, but also a Canon camera user here so this was beyond helpful!
Great rundown. I appreciate the information (I did own a musical instrument store for a few years but that was quite a while ago...We never had to address the profit side as one would expect with a little music store). :) You are an engineer? Cool! What kind of engineering/education did you do (I completed most of my ChE but dropped that for software [with no degree])? ps. I love your art!
Oh awesome! I’ve always loved visiting musical instrument stores even though I never played any instruments lol. And I’m glad it was helpful. ☺️ I got a degree in civil engineering and worked in the construction industry! I just quit my job to do art full-time a few months ago. 😅
@@ARTXSUN Wonderful! Big leap for sure. I had to duck out after 35 yrs from anienty. I draw now and maybe some folks will like it someday. :) I hope you can make the videos work for you...I will be happy to see what you do! :) Playing an instrument is much like art - you need to practice frequently and be dedicated to improving, etc. - it takes time and effort. That's a round about way of saying that if you can do art and engineering, you'd probably be able to get familiar with an instrument fairly quickly if you had the desire. Keep up the great work - I'm rooting for you!
