it doesn't matter what you do, they will tick on cold start, especially left overnight. Nature of the beast, the tick is quite audible even with the bet quality oil. Even more present with early model N52 like 05 to 09.
I cant begin to tell how nice the absence of talking was. I think I will VOMIT coat hangers if I have to watch one more video that starts with "Hey Guys......"
My X5 got the same noise. As I speak, I visited several mechanic but none of them understand what the problem is. I paid money until I’m fade-up now. Please if you know the problem just tag me and let me know please. I needed your feedback if not I will just pack the car because I’m tired of spending money.
Warm the engine fully Get revs up to 3000 for about 3 minutes This will bleed the hydraulic lifters and ticking will stop Maybe not on the 1st try then repeat until gone Hope this helps 🙏
what is the point just take it out for a long highway drive, this things will tick on cold start no matter what, poorly designed head, i believe they fixed in later models.
NIce Job..I have a 2007 ..same car..Its leaking like a siv..I can see the outline in front from the oil pan..I hear there are two upper and lower..Is it really as big a pain to change these gaskets as they say..suspension removal, sub frame?I have the parts..Im tempted to give it a shot.I have ramps..Not sure if I have the cearance? Thanks,Pietro
5 to 7 thousand over one year to be safe on valve stem seals and the goody. Both harmed by oil varnishing caused by heat. But oil scientist can tell you more.
Great video and ditto on using the oil filter housing drain plug correctly. Everyone else misses that correct procedure. Only thing I would do differently is to apply a little oil to the o-rings as they go back on to prevent any abrasions. Great DIY 5W40!
I have the same BMW X6 X Drive 35i , model 2008. But a problem that I didn’t know which oil number may i used for it? It’s good to use oil number 10w-40? Or to use 10w-30? Please if you help me for this problem report me in a comment. Thank you for your video.
Mark Berenger That’s right. I think it’s at least $60-$70 just for parts. Not sure where you can get a $35 oil change unless it’s from Jiffy Lube using conventional. I prefer to do them myself as well.
Hi 5W40. Thanks for the video, I have already installed this version in win7 x32 and x64 bit but in both win7 systems I have problem in info page with the ini path, ecu path, and interface. in all these it shows lots of ???????????. Is yours acting the same?
Best video I've seen straight to the point not all that talking...I'm going to build one of those ramps....step by step instructions I have 2006 750i thanks for the video
