Welcome to Bevelwerks! My name is Chauncey and through this channel I’ll be sharing with you my adventure through the world of horology! We’ll open up some boxes, remove some stickers and try to figure if these watches might be worth your time - even if they’ve already taken up mine! Please like and subscribe to support the channel! And if you enjoy our videos, consider checking out @bevelwerks on instagram where we try to post some additional photos (mostly macros) of each watch we review, as well as our daily wrist checks. Thanks again and hope you enjoy the show. Cheers!
Looked nice enough, too large for me to wear, shame about the case back, I own a 1960 Bulova with a black dial: Case: 32.5mm With crown: 35.5mm Lug to lug: 38.3mm Lug width: 17.9mm Depth: 11.8mm Movement: 11 AFAC Swiss Unadjusted 17 Jewels Bulova was founded and incorporated as the J. Bulova Company in 1875 by Bohemian immigrant Joseph Bulova. It was reincorporated under the name Bulova Watch Company in 1923, became part of the Loews Corporation in 1979, and was sold to Citizen at the end of 2007.
I’ve tried several brands and keep coming back to BluShark. I’ve been wearing them for about eight years with no issues. I prefer their heavier fabrics over the thinner seatbelt fabric. I mostly wear a Seiko turtle with them but also some other watches. I feel they offer excellent value, have a good selection of fabrics. They also have a three for the price of two offer and frequently offer other discounts.
TStrap nato band on Amazon looks like a great strap also. Ordered one but didn't fit. ( my watch was at fault not the band) Currently waiting on an adapter and when it arrives Ill be buying another tstrap. Great video!!!!
The packaging rating artificially affects the results, as it does not relate to the quality of the strap. The packaging just increases environmental waste, as it gets discarded. It is nice to get a microfiber cloth, but in the end cost, comfort, looks and quality of the strap is what really matters. Personally I like only single pass straps, I cut the extra fabric on double pass straps. A watch looks a lot better without all that bunching on the side of the wrist. Only way it would look ok, is on someone with a very large wrist Anyway nice roundup. Now in 2024 many straps are available for less from CNS and Aliexpress
You have the packaging rating backwards, less is more, exess paqckaging is just a waste, nothing to do with quality, adds to the price & land fill for no value.
They all suck b___s because they're all shiny plastic. I make my own, but if I didn't, the only natos I'd buy are from Stevostraps. Mine look almost identical to his.
The worst I’ve had was watchgeko ,started fraying after a month , no reply from them when contacted . Best was from straptailor ,excellent quality , bought 3 as a change , all still perfect .
Lame and very flawed. You pick the winner based on the packaging which has nothing to do with quality, how well it will wear, or how well it will last. You have two other choices that are all 3's in the areas that count. You pick the winner based on a cardboard box and 10 cents worth of cloth. The only winner here are the people who haven't wasted 17 mins of their life watching this useless video. Do you buy your watches and cars based on how they come packed too?
Hi, I'm curious about which parameter of the band is responsible for the position of the buckle, as in different bands it is in different places. Thank you.
Its pronounced SPY - DEL not "Speedel" pronounce same as the word "spy" - jeez the brand is over 50 years old you'd think a watch person would know how to say it right
Hardlex is 8 in the Mohs scale, sapphire is 9.But Hardlex is way more shatter resistant than sapphire. In a real world, i prefer my diver watches to be better protected, and hardlex is a better option than sapphire. To be clear, Seiko don't use hardlex to cut prices. You can find sapphire crystals for $10 at Amazon.
I just recieved this watch as a gift. $525, great looking watch. The size is perfect, not to big, but big enough that it gains attention. I have some friends who rock some Rolex watches that tell me it is a good looking watch. This is my second Seiko divers watch.
Hello, thank you so much for reviewing our Naos Automatic in blue! We really liked watching your review! Especially, we liked the fact that you also let your wife wear the watch so "female watch aficionados", as you name it, could also imagine this watch better for them! Thanks so much again. All the best from Hamburg, Klara and the STERNGLAS team
Personally, it's value versus aesthetics. I think regular Samurai's look better as they come in traditional/versatile colours, whereas the King Samurai only comes in vibrant colours. The King Samurai is better value on the used market though -- they can go for cheap. It's all things to weigh. Colours, cyclops, value, specifications, etc. What matters most to you?
It's laughable that packaging is included in this. Edit everything about packaging out of this video and you have the best nato comparrison video on RU-vid.
I am wearing my o35 now . It is one of the watches I will not flip . I wish I had the 033 . . They're really going up now . I can get $800 for mine now.
