I lived there too til about 1970. I'm not sure of the number but it's the alley house down to edward bailey behind you at about 48 secs in (it's 2 doors down from 30 on google maps but like you say there's no rhyme or reason to the numbering) . There was a curved brick wall in our play area. I went to St Bartholomews school infant school. My mum worked at canley. I've been living in Cov 15 years. I still love the accent - it's 80% Brummie 10% farmer 10% unspecified. The women all say "my lovely", and at the end of a long word ending in "am' they pronounce it "um" - Birmingum, Nottingum etc
Youre a legend mate! I have single glazed windows and a pay as you go electric metter. And i live up north, righg on the promenade so it gets bitterly cold. And sadly the bills pile up in winter😂 they just want to kill us at this point, im convinced!

I do, and so do a lot of other people I know in Cov. In "butter", I drop the ts and say "a" at the end. Like B-A. I am not saying it's good but it's very common.
I think it's pretty clear that he was trying to describe the general accent. Obviously not everyone is going to use all of the traits he talks about. I don't agree with everything he says, but I think most of it is accurate. Maybe you can ask him to do a special video about your specific variety of the Cov accent. Ha ha!
