Metal pistons are heavier and heavier youbwant a heavyvpiston woth a heavy spring which will cause otbto finish fast. Ligh piston leightsping willmalsonfinish fast lightsping with heavyvpiston or visaversa will cause the piston to finish slow. Medium wirhnloght or heavyvspring will cause the paiton to fonish moderately. If you dontbknow use ultra heavy weight but never use a verry heavy piston on a heavy spring. Those are always inefficient. Only time to exparament with that a dmr. One tonne dod a good writeup on this.
@@guilherme85francisco pre cocking would see the FPS drop also on semi as the drop is FPS is cause by the nozzle being retracted prematurely before the BBs has fully accelerated in the barrel.
Typical JG behaviour, very poor shiming, very limp motor, ear wax grease... but you know, they are cheap and with some little TLC they are pretty good and solid! Thats why i always say, cheap guns are not beginers guns, normally they need some work to make them reliable and good ^^
Is the A&K version a top dead centre hop unit adjustable with an allen grub screw? Have an ARES model and wondering if the aftermarket hop units are compatible the same beetween the A&K, ARES and m249 bullgear hop units
@@mattgent9787 the A&K hop in the M60 is a rotary adjustment. So it sounds like it is different to the Ares version that you are adjusting with Allen grub screw. I have no direct experience the Ares version so can't comment on it's compatibility. I can confirm the A&K M60 is a different bullgear hop chamber to the A&K M249.
I will say, on an aging eg560 motor I did have trouble with an m110 spring, though you did use an m100 in the video, it may be preferable to use a cybergun gearbox instead for a direct motor upgrade. Wonderful vid though!
Had the same issue with my cyma platinum and brushless motor. Fps loss in semi and auto. Only thing that would help is lowering the rpm on the motor. After modifying the stock delayer chip and trimming the tappet plate I now have no air loss. Thank you for the tip. t238 39k Stock emg 13:1 stock m125 spring 365fps 38 rps
i have this gun. Is it worth me just upgrading the inner barrel? will that help performance? if i did the barrel and left everything stock what hop up bucking would you recommend
@@adzzzysarmoury Thanks. What cylinder and piston head did you use? i've never opened a gear box on an AEG could this be risky changing cylinder parts without experience and mess up the gears etc
@@lesterodonoghue9398 use a piston that has metal teeth. The standard one will be all plastic. A flat piston head will work with the standard cylinder head. You will likely not need to change the cylinder unless you wish to use much heavier BBs to give you the larger volume if the standard cylinder is ported. Stand cylinder head will be fine.
Slide the stock completely off, this will reveal a small screw on the underside of the buffer tube that allows for removal of the end cap of the buffer tube. You can get a screw driver down the buffer tube to release it from the upper receiver. 😎
cnc infinity with 40k was causing me no issues vs my 35k warhead causing tappet-plate breakage and airseal failure. could this be because the warhead is brushless?
@@adriss8888 if you want to install a more durable piston with metal teeth then this is not a bad idea for durability. If you do put in a new piston then just makes sure it works smoothly when the gearbox shell is closed and also runs smoothly with the gears.
Greetings from the US! New subscriber, but this is my second A&K M60...and mate, you are about to HATE me😅😅 You're mounting the box wrong, its the top loop of the mag pouch over the top of the mag plate. You have to hold the hose out of the way as you slide it on, but once mounted thusly the hose will align perfectly with the cut out on the plate. I'm so sorry to bear you this bad news, brother!😥 Also, I went through several after market hop up chambers before I discovered the best solution is to leave in the original but not use it, and get a Magic Box Miracle Barrel inner barrel instead. Makes it a laser beam! The trouble I had then, was that the barrel release nut switched and the outer barrel pressed against the inner and bent it. That piece looks a lot sturdier on this new model though, so we'll see if it burns me on another $80 barrel... Anyways hoped this helps, cheers✌
Love the tutorial, are the base components (the entire assembly you pulled out of the back of the P90) the same in every AEG? I have a Cybergun Scar-L that I want to upgrade but have zero how to.
if its not done right it will often ruin the gun. I'd rather have under correction or none at all than an overcorrected gun. most guns don't even need it. none of my guns have it and they all run fine save for my cyma aks74u which is 100% a dirty gearbox interfering with the aster but the plastic teeth are probably fine. it doesnt use a metal rack. it's always with sorbo pads. they also reduce volume and in a dmr like my sr25 and high speed cqb builds, you need air volume more than ever. at least with a high speed cqb build you can put a faucet washer between the piston and piston head. you still lose volume buy you most likely have a ported cylinder or it's short stroked but on a dmr, if you want to Thow anything heavier than a .36' you need the volume. especially on any gun that isn't a svd or sr25 which you still can't afford to lose volume because reverse joule creep on heavy ammo. my cyma platinum mp5 is short stroked from the factory by 4 teeth and that's another good example of why my guns isn't aoe corrected. of course, on a full stroke full cylinder gun there's no reason you can't do it the old fashioned way.
Ive just started thinking about upgrading my m904L im looking at a xt aeg m110 and a maple leaf mr hop hop rubber 60 with nub would that be sufficient to hit the ranges you are but still be viable for cqb
Yes a Maple leaf MR hop rubber will give you good results. All you need to make sure is that the window on the barrel is big enough to accept it. Make sure you use the omega nub to pair with it. Also heavier BBs will give you better results too. Get it to a power of 1 joule or just over and you will be good for both woodland and CQB sites.
Quick tip my guy, at any point when in programming if you hold the trigger down you will get the 3 beeps to save what you have done and leave programming mode. Meaning you don’t have to move the selector 7-8 time if you only want to change the full auto to say 2 shot burst, get it to beep 2 times for 2 shot then hold the trigger 👍
I recently bought a warhead motor, and everything i read said not to use ROF control on and ETU (Aster V2 in my case) or it could damage the motor. Does the perun have a different system for controlling rate of fire?
late comment but only just found this, I have the same trigger system in my Arkturis but a different problem, the semi wont work, the trigger just seems to be stuck in full auto, i have taken it apart and examined many times to try and figure out what's going on but to no avail, any ideas would help or link to a video with a more detailed explanation as to how this trigger system works.
I'm in this video but you'd never know. I can't see myself and I know exactly where I was 🤣 Great video from a great game day (apart from the damn wind!). You and Aidan are really good at motivating other airsofters to push and play aggressive and that's what won it for yellows. Blues just lacked that same energy.
