I am a new coach with no robotics experience and I feel more confident that I will be able to provide value to the team after watching the first three videos your team has created. I cannot wait to watch the rest of the series.
For CAD I would recommend: 1. Onshape - easy to learn and multiple people can work on the same model at the same time extremely easily. It’s also a good candidate for mechanical engineering 2. Solidworks - most common mechanical engineering CAD software used in CAD jobs and careers. It’s also very high quality but also very expensive to maintain the license if your career, school, or FRC team doesn’t give you one for free. 3. Autodesk Inventor Professional - good for mechanical engineering but not used as much in actual jobs or careers 4. Autodesk Fusion360 - easy to learn and applicable in mechanical engineering It’s important to note that all of the software listed here can be accessed freely using a student license or FRC license. I am more experienced with Autodesk Inventor than the other software on this list, but I can attest to the quality of these programs.
