this was sitting in my list of songs to save to listen to later, and... my goodness why did i not do that earlier? this arrangement immediately gave me the chills - the good kind - and the comments are an icing (no pun intended) on the cake! the choice of instruments are just... sooo calming and beautiful. i hope to find more of this
0:05 is just super. The rest may be fairly vanilla, not redirecting/changing the original song enough to match the new instruments. Just my stupid opinion.
Wondering about that hair-in-mouth thing? Think about sakura and what that tree represents in Japanese mythology. Note how the cherry blossoms flying by are white, but are in the process of turning red. Think about how Yuyuko came to be in Gensokyo. Now look at the title of this video. THAT AIN'T A HAIR STRAND
+remilia scarlet If you cover up the hair on that side, the strand of hair looks remarkably like blood. I believe that this is Yuyuko when she committed suicide due to being afraid of her power to invoke death. At this moment, she is teetering on the border between life and death. On a side note, there's a demon in Gensokyo who loves to manipulate all manner of borders and boundaries. They are friends. But I digress...
