Just a regular guy who FINALLY got the courage to start up a detailing channel! I have a passion for starting up a community that will help others grow more in their craft of detailing. If you like solid before and afters then I have that too, there's something for everyone!
thank you! For exterior dressing I don’t usually dilute anything and just use it straight. As for interiors I either use it straight or use it 1:1 which always leaves a nice sheen to interiors
I really like it, i’ll see about making a video on how I did my setup. I just set the pump right next to my pressure washer and have a four way to power them up. I like it because it takes all the straining from my actual PW and gives me the highest flow for my PW as well as
Thank you!! I love them! I use them for all my coating and paint correction jobs. They’d last me a whole lot longer if I kept them clean and maintained them though😅 As far as pros goes they’re super easy to buy and you get a lot in just one box when going through amazon. That and with how I use them I find them more durable than like griots pads. The cons is that while they do last longer than griots pads. If you don’t maintain them like how i’m supposed to they can make them almost useless. But that’s just because by the time i’m done i just toss them in a bag and forget about them😅
Do you often get jobs to take off the wheels? It should be the same process as cleaning a wheels, just wheel and tire cleaner. If it has a lot of brake dust I’d recommend an iron decontamination spray and just use detail brushes to agitate then rinse off!
No I just wondered for preparation. This is my first month as starting my mobile detailing. Last month I practiced on family and neighbors cars but this month I’ve went to strangers and asked others for their business and I’m wondering for the future. I will definitely practice on our car though. Do you have a specific brand of cleaner you recommend?
The problem with the hvlp gun is that it put alot fine mist product in the air and you end up breathing it in alot more that just the normal spray bottle.
Since it’s water based you can definitely dilute it or use it as is, i believe it says so on the gallon as well. I never really dilute it though since my sprayer makes it last a lot longer. But
The beginning of the detail you say you blow everything out. Ok all goo and well but when and how do you clean up what you blew out? Do you just leave garbage all over there yard?
The detail was done on their ranch and more specifically on a slab of concrete that they later demolished and later picked everything up with an excavator. They wanted me to throw everything out (large items to) but I at least wanted to bag those up.
You do great work bro, I’m still learning and I’m curious about the steamer. I have the 1385 like you but I feel like it doesn’t really melt the grime as good as just using a serrana sauce mix. I could be to cautious and afraid to melt plastics. Your videos are very real world informative tho. Appreciate it.
Thank you so much! Yeah hopefully soon I can get that chief steamer, but at the same time my 1385 has been a workhorse for years now! I’m glad the videos help you!
Great work my friend I’m gonna follow your steps by steps and I’m not gonna charge $180 my neck of the woods they laugh at me. 😊 Terry from the DMV That’s Maryland DC and Virginia.
So yes I use it all over the vehicle except on screens, only thing i use for screens is just window cleaner that I spray directly on the towel then apply to the screen and wipe
How long does it take you to do a full exterior/interior detail? Just started detailing and I am wanting to set realistic expectations for myself on time limits.
First off, love that you’re getting into it! I have different packages that are based on different needs so if it were to be my level 2 package that’s a good interior and exterior detail. It takes me about 2 1/2hrs If they want my level 3 that includes shampooing and steam cleaning with exterior then it takes me about 3 1/2-4hrs to detail since I also dry the interior out as well and don’t leave anything wet. Mind you I have a process on how everything goes as well as tools that help make it go faster as well. So keep that in mind, not everyone starts out fast and it takes time and repetition to get your own process down as well. Keep going and you’ll get quicker at it!
Thanks man. Yeah I’m starting to get better equipment and I’m already starting to notice a difference in speed. Also I appreciate you giving glory to God. Me and my wife were missionaries in Thailand so it’s good to see someone detailing for His name!
@@lainie4344 Love to hear it! Always a great thing to invest BACK into the business. I’m here and available to help anyway I can. I appreciate your feedback, that means the world to me also! I have always wanted to visit Thailand but majority of mission trips i’ve been on were helping building the skeleton to churches in Cartago, Costa Rica and Ecuador last year! But all glory is definitely going to God, wouldn’t even want to know where I’d be if it was for Him moving in my life and strategically placing the right people in my path to help correct where I was going years back!
Awesome to hear about those mission trips. I’m hoping to get involved in some local missions but doing detailing on the side. I did a car today and it took me about 4 hours to do a mid size suv. I’m hoping to invest into getting a tornador blower because it seems like it would cut my time in half lol
Hii !! I am impressed with your detailing videos and your skills. I watched all of your videos , and the cars look great when you finished them. 😊 I wish you success in your journey. Keep up your hard work! Thanks !
I’m sure it would, this is just my process and what I prefer/had on hand. Whichever one works, either way the job got done and customer loved the final product
Nice video champ! 💯 Clear and straight forward vibes you have 😎That vac seems great as a final dust touch up right before delivering the vehicle back to the client. Lots of use cases! Keep up the great videos!
Hey bro how big is your generator. Does it run over 7000 watts. The reason why I ask is because I want to have a detail setup in a Silverado and I would like to know how big of a generator will fit back there with a bed cover setup
It’s a generac 3800 here’s my video of my setup. I kept the wheels on it still and fits perfectly fine. Since I want my bed cover on still, what I did was measure the clearance and look up the dimensions on what will fit back there with the cover
Just for clarification purposes! The chisel tip that I put in the video is just for reference. I misplaced it (go figure) and decided to use my longer chisel tip. It original came with a 6in long chisel tip.
Those TORNADOR guns are worth their weight in GOLD. I just wish they had a battery powered version of a Tornador for those of use who don't have air compressors.
@@ClutchDetailing True, that is the trick. The device would probably be quite bulky having to produce air like one of those small air compressors you buy at Home Depot which would not have nearly enough power to use a Tornador on the end of it and get enough airflow to be effective. But that would be a slick device if they could produce a battery powered device that was as powerful as a regular air compressor run Tornador gun.
