Hello! Welcome to our page! We are a family of 6 that travels FULL-TIME on the road! Yes we are one of the families that decided to sell our house and the majority of our belongings to hit the open road. This all happened in 2019 and we are still enjoying every moment of it. There are bad days but the majority of our experiences are GREAT! If you find this interesting be sure to hit the subscribe button to follow our journey.

Great video and I enjoy and have used your other videos for my education. Now in reference to my 20 44h The idiots at Fleetwood did not install a thermostat in my wet bay. From what I have been able to learn from comments on the LXE Facebook page this is very common.. Some have found the connector but no thermostat. I have been all over mine and there is no thermostat. I generally don't travel in cold weather but if I do I just plug in a 100 watt bulb into the electric socket in the wet bay.
I have a 40m and want some help with the basement heat. I have a 30 amp hookup at my house for basic hook up while parked. I want to run the aqua hot on electric just to keep the wet bay from freezing. How is that done , any help appreciated.
I don’t know about the 40m. Assuming your runs on the rear Aquahot as well. You just need to have the section turned on. Just a heads up I don’t know where you live but if it’s extreme temps you will have to run the diesel Aquahot because the electric won’t keep up. I would just winterize it and save your electric or diesel bill.
Great video thank! Question for you. We have the same rig and we just got some errors on our control panel that won't allow the AC to run. Thermastor sensor errors on all zones. Have you had this issue? If so how did you resolve it? Thanks
Just wanted to say thanks for making this video! We have a 2019 Fleetwood Discovery 44B and the outside temperature is single digits. We went to turn on the water and there was none, so it froze somewhere. I started doing some digging and found your video. The thermostat for our basement was pretty close to that location, except we have separate basement doors for the sewer and water inlet. I just opened the water bay door and the thermostat was just up above on the right side. I also looked on the bottom side of our slides and we have water lines exposed there as well. I suppose I'll have to insulate and heat wrap those to keep them from freezing. Great video and thanks again!
I’ve got same water filter but I can’t figure out how to get it unstuck. If I put any more torque on it I’m going to break the water lines. Have you seen this before?
The first time I took the filter housing apart it was super tight. Just make sure your turning it left to remove it. Those pex lines are more sturdy tan they appear.
I have been doing a little bit of research on these and about the regeneration. I was wondering if you ever have to change the resin? Or what the life expectancy of the resin is? Thank you for the useful info.
Most resins are gel resins and will be destroyed (actually disintegrated) if they are exposed to chlorine which is in most water as a disinfectant. But all you really need to do is make sure you have a good carbon filter in front of your softener and there should be no problem.
I knew you were Army. Also, a service member myself. We are new to the RV community, will also be flat towing a Dodge Durango. Would love to pick your brain if the time is there? Thank you for the videos!
Is this the correct Fuel Filter part # for the 8000 QD? It appears mine is a small round in line type, unless I am looking in the wrong spot. Ours is a 2012 coach, model # 8hdkak-1046M
Hi---this probably is not necessary with your newer unit but Onan recommends you also clean the spark arrestor during an oil change if done at the recommended 250 hour interval. Cleaning the spark arrestor is easy but requires a long socket extension...I think mine is 18". I change my oil at about 100 hours (give or take 50) and always clean the spark arrestor as well as change fuel and air filters every other change. Onan recommends your newer unit have oil changed every 50 hours. Thanks for your video
Thanks for the input! Actually per Onan my oil is changed every 250 hours and the spark arrestor once a year along with the fuel and air filter (depending on usage). Thanks again for your input!
It makes a big difference! We should have bought one year’s ago. The wife and the girls love it (soft water is better on their hair). I enjoy the taste and not having to worry about all the hard water issues. We also use it to wash our vehicles and the motorhome.
Great video guys. This is very touching. Thanks to everyone who has served. New friends here. Take care and have a blessed week. KTKamping Kent and Tami
Came over from Penguin6, who mentioned you in his video today (11/11/21). Watched several of your videos and subscribed. Cute family and enjoyed your videos. Have fun traveling!
Hey guys! Came over from the McGuires Live tonight to check out your channel. Where was that invention when our babies were little, wow! New friends here. Wilson & Kelli
Derek, I wish that was the case. The exhaust pipe is the only reason you couldn’t open the door all the way. If you watch my video again go to 3:21 when I slide the generator back to show the drain plug. You will see what I’m talking about. Thanks for asking though.
@@RVTravelingWith6 thanks for the reply. I see after watching again the exhaust pipe....dang well I know what i am up against on my 8k Onan thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I don’t think I’ve ever lubricated our tow kit arms before. I will have to do this. They are a bit rough even after 1 year of use. Never needed zip ties before. Hoping we don’t have to go through that. We are new friends here from your visit to our channel. Thank you so much! ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi
Hi there. Just saw you on the live with The Northwoods RV Life. This is Sue from Lucky Dawg Productions. Wanted to pop over and say hi and watch some of your videos. Great drone footage showing Indian Lakes. I bet they would be interested to use that footage for ad for their campground. New friend.
Great video ! I passed by there a couple weeks ago but didn't have time to stop. Thank you for sharing. Your new friend. I saw your comment on my video but can't open it. Thank you for your support !!
Hey there!! Just saw you this evening and wanted to come check out your videos. we love the Campground reviews. love the drone footage. Nice job. ~ Brad and Diana
Now that you’ve had this model for a while, are you happy with it? Has the leatherette dinette, couch and upfront seats help up well with Kid? We are looking at this same motorhome. TIA
We were very happy with it, we just sold it for a diesel class A. Which video is coming soon for. But for this Jayco, we added security cameras and safe T plus stabilizer (worth it), weboost, magne shades and lots of solar. I think it held up very nice anywhere from the paint on the outside to the inside details. Everything that was warranty work seems minor in our first 2 years of owning it. We put 24,000 miles on it. The material on furniture held up minus 3 areas where it started to come off in patches. All where a person sits. We pulled a Durango (5000 lbs) all over with it and only time we didn’t was on a steep grade at the continental divide in Colorado. We could tell it was to much and unhooked and had no troubles at all. Only time it was harder to keep cool was in the texas summer heat where it varied from 104-112 outside. We could get it to about 80 inside but with insulation in windows it would go to about 75. Dyson cool and heat fans really helped the temperature inside too.
