Generally, when brecker plays a line that goes from a 4 to a 5 in a quick bluesy kinda way, like in the second half of your measure 40 he's actually starting from the 4 and using the pitch bend to go up, it makes those kinds of lines a lot easier. So he's starting on an A, and then uses the bitch bend key to bend up to a B, then let's it fall back down to an A. He actually uses the bend up a ton; probably just as much as the bending from below Once you try it, you can hear how he does it all over the place. Don't know if that makes sense, but, just try it lol.
m18 bass clef beats 1-2: Close but left hand misses some details. On the first eighth note he plays F# and on the third eighth note he plays the G _and_ an F tucked below it. So the chords go C/F# to F#/G to Ab/F before landing on Emin13 (or A7add4/E if you prefer) in the next bar. m18 treble clef sixteenth note after beat 1: the D is missing a flat, rest of the measure is perfect.
man i've been listening to Beirut since about '87 when i went to a Berklee summer camp i was introduced to the track and it continues to be one of my favorite solos ever. your transcription, execution and expression is so great bro. back in old school days i played a few times with Chris Potter perhaps he influenced your playing as well. keep up the amazing playing
hi there, I'm looking for sheet music from ' The Boatman ' from Tigran Hamasyan but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find it? I'm trying to play by hearing it now but that's difficult :)
Quite a few errors. Rhythms in mm. 70 & 71 are way off. Missing G in m. 69. There are so many little discrepancies, including choice of note spelling at various places, that makes this transcription lacking. Doesn't look or feel like Hamasyan if you are going to start making all those subtle rhythms either straight or swung. Rhythmically, Hamasyan is doing so much more than what your transcription is suggesting.
Hey, I recently inherited a saxophone from a relative who passed away; where is a good channel to use to get started in learning how to play? Also this transcription is absolutely phenomenal, it just popped up randomly in my recommended tab.
i’m sure you’ve already seen in the patch notes but in case you haven’t + for anyone else wondering: in the latest reaper update (6.58) a new render option was added which solves the problem you were facing at 8:20, in regards to the region render matrix and the master track. at the top left of the render menu, in the “source” dropdown, there’s a new “region render matrix via master” option :)
Great video! I'm also using Reaper and Wwise. I also like the quality of the video. May I ask you what software have you used to record this video? I have tried several software, but when I start to record my Reaper or Wwise screen the audio starts crackling. Maybe in my case it's a low CPU problem (I have an old MacBook Pro, i7 2 cores, 16 GB Ram)
