Thanks for a nice video! One question, That swinging double pulley on mine is on a tilt. It's allowing it to cut into the Hydraulic lines. Any ideas? Thanks!👍
I realize this video is fairly old now but thought I'd share this. I got my recall in March 2024. The letter said I'd get a call when the parts were available. Seven months later and I decided to stop waiting for them to call me so I started calling the dealership - once a week for three weeks. Finally the service writer told me they have no idea when the parts will be available and they will call me IF they get them. Meanwhile some dealerships have the parts on their shelves for sale for about $400. I ordered a set to do both sides from Amazon. Maybe they'll stay on until Ford decides to honor their recall or until it causes a wreck and someone dies. Shame on you Ford (from a 50+ year Ford owner).
Sorry you did not get what you expected, the hard part of the job is moving all the stuff to get the alternator out and it is very tight so hard to video

@@mytwogoodhands2799 any wobbling or issues with the bumper tire carrier? Ever have it unhook accidentally driving off-road? I don’t do anything crazy just hunting roads.
You're absolutely right these new ford explorer alternator's are a beast. I had to do one on a 2011 and a 2016 in the same week. The 2011 was actually a little easier as it had just a little more room. The 2016 is a joke for room especially routing the belt not much room at all. This video is well done though! How did you approach the top alternator bolt that is the sticking point for me at this point. The lower I got out pretty easily ;) Edit: Figured it out I was just burned out from doing too much 7mm socket fit just right to get it out :)
Great video thanks! I have a similar Kenmore Elite 38520 that was leaking from the control head. I installed the seal kit following your video and also installed a new venturi gasket. Cleaned all fittings/screens too and no errors on display - hoses are new and clean - no salt clog that I can see. My issue now is the brine tank fills with water and only goes down when I initiate a regeneration. (Empties out mostly during Brine cycle but slowly fills back up - float assembly is clear is free) In reassembling, I was unsure where the 'service' position was on cam and gear so I put it back where it was before disassembly - not sure how to interpret the symbols on cam gear but am wondering if it's smart enough to adjust if need? Could this be related to my problem? Hard to troubleshoot remotely I know but thanks for any ideas! Best, Dave
If the cam gear does not stop in correct position the limit switch could be bent or in the wrong set of holes. Watch video for the removal of the limit switch. around the 4 minute mark.
You are hilarious dude. Thanks for the down home video. My name is John. From Reno but live in Hawaii where the acid rain kills connections lol 😂. Thanks bro.
Hmmm... most people could rake that area in same or less time without spending the money on the tool and the electricity it takes to charge the battery. I'm happy I saw the video, I decided to keep the money.
I built this one and yes I can add the bike rack or tow a trailer. You can Buy them but they are expensive. Roadmaster 195225 Spare Tire Carrier for Motorhomes amzn.to/3XhmGhV
I got a similar light flicker from the water heater breaker being switched off. Going to check the grounds first. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully it helps me find my issue as well.
Thanks for the comment if your grill has round head lights and the slots are all the same size these should fit. Amazon is easy to return if they are not correct.
Hello, I need to change out my F525 stater motor. Have you replaced one before? If so, any videos? I'm not sure about the starter location, if i will need to remove the body to access the starter? thanks
Depends on the surface tension. We have the ego version. Tillrd up here 20k sq ft of bare ground that was pounded for a year. Just kept feeding it to prevent compaction. Too compacted you need a rear tine tiller.
How in the worldvdo you get the cylinder/strut to extend to it's fullest length. The broken one and the replacement are the same length. The door has to be closed to install it. That's not enough room to get your hands, drill or screwdriver in the space.
Hello my American friend. I am having a problem on my F525 When I mow for about 1 hour the mower starts to caller. It starts for a while and then fails more and more often. Until you lose engine power in the end.You who have long years of work on this F525 can you advise me? Thank you and hello from FRANCE!
You actually had the hole correctly sized the first time. I use these on steel doors when hanging life safety devices, and the ridges on the threaded rivet (threadsert) make it easy to pound in with a hammer while maintaining its ability to grip the metal and resist spinning, thus negating the need for the nut driver on the other side. If you drill the hole too large, you won't be able to tighten the threadsert and make it grip without specialty tools. They are probably one of the most underrated and least used tools because it takes time to install them properly, so people don't use them. However, when you strip out a sheet metal screw because you install it too aggressively with a power tool, and you only uave 2 of the 4 required screws to hold it on, you might want to use these to fix the issue. Great video!
I did some research and you may or may not have one If you do behind he glove box is common as is under the cowl in the engine compartment. I do not have one to look at
@@mytwogoodhands2799 try them on Explorers with 150,000 miles, high corrosion area, original bearing. People need to know this is not how this works most times. This could potentially cost people dearly if they try this at home and end up having to get the vehicle towed to a shop that can handle the problems. Please clarify to the viewers. Thank you
