Hello friends! I am Petrokey. And I am glad to meet you at my channel! It is a channel about FPV, and anything around drones. I would be happy to share my knowledge with You!
I've enterred this world not so long ago, but I am already sure - it's not just a hobby. It's a whole world full of emotions brightness, curiosity and emotions!
And it is our future - our days you can see drones at post, productions, even rescuring people's life!
And it does not matter if you are new or you are super-exprerienced pilot - I hope you will find something interesting for You! And to make things more easy to understand for people new in this hobby - I have made a series of video of updating and configuring different stuff at base of #betafpv Cetus X fpv kit (@BETAFPVHobby bit.ly/3M5JIUW) - one of known RTF kits by the moment of spring 2023 - so here step-by-step we can go from easy configs to tricky modifications.
So don't hesitate - join my channel and together we will enter this world!
The AUX4 switch on the RC is not in use when you buy the drone. I programmed it to enable beeping and VTX pit mode together. This prevents overheating of VTX and makes it easier to find the drone (as long as the batteries provide power, so this is not a real alternative to an independent beeper.
Theoretically it can cover about 80km (in ideal conditions without obsticles in clear air high enough). But it depends too much on antenna, receiver and many other factors
Unfortunately not. It uses proprietary flight controller that does not work with betaflight . Instead - may use betafpv configurator - it looks very similar but less options available
I didn't know you were into FPV! I'm down to deciding between the radiomaster pocket, jumper t14, and t20. Jumpers are a great price but IDK. They have Banggood vibes
About it being indestructible - first day I hit stair in wierd way - instant black bars in VTX. BUT after close inspection, just camera plug get loose. I pushed it in, since then no problems - and it geting abused more and more. So keep in mind this camera plug after big hit.
@@petrokey_en but honestly. After a week of intensive abuse of this quad, it is pretty much indestructible. Only problem is that cam plug, sometimes it came loose after big hit
@user-rt9pe8dp1q ah, epidemic sound allows only 3 channel at a time)) will need another license)) I have not seen air75 yet. It has abit bigger engines and bigger frame that fits bigger battaries (same as meteor75 or cetus). But fc is the same
I’ve had the same problem with loose battery terminals on other radios. You can use a small screwdriver or something to GENTLY bend the spring tab outward to put more pressure on the battery contact points. If this doesn’t work you just have to be a bit careful haha!
Well, I've got a comment that I've used wrong battary. The 21700 should be used - as I understood it should fit well.... Or I should go to doctor to treat flu))
Have you experienced any performance loss or any electronics wearing out over time? I am in look for a lil micro that I can trust will last me long and keep me able to fly a real quad whenever I want for as long as possible. I've been flying emax tinyhawk 2 freestyle for about a year which had no crashes or whatsoever till it started giving failsafes all of a sudden. Then I realised that my rssi goes way below what it used to do. I will try to fix it by buying an ExpressLRS reciever but in case I mess it up somehow, I wanna have another quad that i can fly with before I do anything. Tinyhawk flies good other than having it's range reduced for whatever reason. Thats why I am looking for a micro that I can trust will last me for long without something wearing out just by being used
Well, Cetus has few week itrms that may fail with time. - the motors wires are connected with connector but not soldered. The connection gets oxigen cover with the time and connectors overheats and motors start work not so good. But it is possible to replace connectors or simpli solder the wires And camera sandwich overheat. Well, configs like minimal power till first arm helps. And may install radiator. However I would look at new pavo or at least meteor series that have better ventilation (however still have simple motir wires connectors)
Oh okay, I have a bunch of those laying around from toy quad vtxes anyway and I'll probably use pit mode or something and will probably run my vtx at 200 mw unless i really go do some range. Does the female connectors for motors on the quad oxidise too or is it only the motor connected bits?
@adakalyoncu1913 well, both sides of contact oxides, but from my practice change of connector at the motor wire usually helps. As for power if fly at home the or outside within 50m range - 25mw should be enough
@@petrokey_en hey I have another question, I did get the cetus x and I keep getting this core temperature 70 celcius warning, it doesn’t go above like 73 most of the time and sometimes goes away sometimes comes back. It didn’t happen in my tinyhawk but it apparently does with cetus. Should I do anything about it for the aio to not get damaged over time or will it handle some heat just fine without like me having to buy a new aio every few months? I’ve heard terrible things from other people about how the quad is expensive to maintain and stuff goes wrong but the same people also always crash the drone and stuff and you say you’ve kept it running for a year so I wanna hear if you experienced any issues
@adakalyoncu1913 up to 80 degree should be ok. Yes, cetus heats more then others because of closed frame that does not allow it ventilate good. So I let it cool down a bit after flight at sunny days
Hello, I just bought the cetus x kit and I have the same problem with the literadio 3, do you know of any solution? My computer is also AMD, do you know if there is any current solution with just drivers? It also doesn't let me use betafpv configuration
That's a problem. I do not know a driver fix. Only - update firmware of rc to stable one (same as with aquila kit). But I do not have direct link to literadio3 stable sw - needs ask at betafpv support team. And the cetus x should be also downgraded to sw betaflight 4.3.1 (as it uses elrs2 compatible with stable rc sw)
So auto search channel does not work? (Aquila might change channel by D switch toggle) If not - can you try disassemble and check if wire still connected to vtx, and if antenna (a small piece of wire) not broken?
@@petrokey_en no it connects to the drone the goggles connect to the drone and also i checked the antena its still connected also the fpv module is blinking blue light like not the drone only the camera part but the goggles just show a black screen with numbers above it like the signal that its on do you know i could contact beta fpv if it ends up not working do you think i could buy the co4 with vtx think and attach it to the drone or what should i do
@prohackerahmedzagabra5874 the numbers you are speaking about - is it a drine info like battary value or mode? If you have these OSD then the vtx itself is ok, but problem with camera. I am not sure about c04. I know that betaflight version (with 5 wires) will not work because of different proptiatory digital protocol used. But about c04 Cetus - needs clarify with Betafpv support
@@petrokey_en its not the osd its something else do you know how i could contact beta fpv support the thing that shows in the screen is the signal that its connected to
I've sent this question to betafpv. Waiting for responce (they have holidays). Anyway mail or 'ticket' form is available here support.betafpv.com/hc/en-us/articles/900004682543-Contact-US#:~:text=Please%20don't%20hesitate%20to,Email%3A%20support%40betafpv.com
I have one but mine won’t fly any more 😭i connected it to the pc to see the beta flight but after I was done the drone won’t fly the same no more like it just stays in the ground and it won’t go back up it dose connect to control and goggles but won’t fly up again and there is no video showing how to update the flight controller??? Pls help
Hey I rarely ever drop comments, But I loved this video! Keep doing these reviews you go about them so differently , I love that you crash test and then tear it apart. No one else does this
That was very informative thank you! I want to get into FPV and I have been researching for a week now. The amount of information is crazy. I think I will start with such a kit and if I decide to move forward I want to be able to use the lenses and remote control from this drone which I understand is possible if I get a drone with the same communication protocols. I also liked that you have modified your Cetus-X, how hard it is to add an additional higher quality camera to record images. Because I would like to do something like this.
Thanks! Adding runcam thumb is not too hard, but I am not sure if Aquila is powerful enough to carry one. For Cetus it was difficult in some cases and Aquila is definitely less powerful
The wifi antenna at drone is week, so needs move closer to PC. Or even turn off home wifi router And the remote should be turned off (itherwares drine will connect to rc and do not swich to wifi mode)
I wrote to BetaFPV support about the problem with the BetaFPV literadio3. They said that I should flash the radio firmware to 1.0.2. I tried it and it works.
I have failed with literadio3(. It just does not save 'external on' and when I connect to configurator again - I simply see both internal or external disabled. As a result my drone is paired with tx itself (no metter by button or bindphrase), but tx sends 0 value for all sticks... Maybe it is because I have an old SW at my lr3 but I have not tested with new one ..
@@petrokey_en I updated my LR3 to the newest fw, and it does not even allow switching to external modules anymore :( According to BetaFPV support, we have to downgrade the LR3 fw to 1.0.2. It kinda works, but then the internal module won't pair with the drone. Is there any way to upgrade elrs on LR3 separately from fw?
