Am I the only one who thinks that the Mavuika vs Capitano fight is bad or avarage? Seriously, this was the most anime-estic fight in Genshin and I don't mean it in the good way. It give me the MHA Stadium fight scene, which caused nightmares to my frieds nighmares.

I have this fun little mini-theory floating around in my head that each nation also represents a genre of anime and Natlan is when we finally get full on shonen battle.
Okay, I'll play your guessing game. In Natlan, there is much legacy of the past heroes and archons to uphold. And the Pyro Archon has been keeping the flame going for a long time. Yet it seems her plan isn't working out. It is up to the Traveler to do much heroism, motivate the tribes to work together, and possibly take up the mantle of the Pyro Archon. In Snezhnaya... Well, I'm not sure if your understanding of Cryo makes sense, but I'll try to roll with it. The ultimate home is Teyvat, the "Ark" that holds so many humans and gods. And yet, it is unwelcoming. Is it because of the dark forces knocking into Teyvat's walls, or because of the evil schemes of Celestia, which seems to hate humans and wants to see them subjugated? Depending on the answer, there are two ways to break the precept of Cryo: 1. Teyvat is an egg. It's time to break the shell, go into the outside world, kick ass and take names. 2. A war within home is the worst thing - a civil war. Probably between people on the ground and Celestia. Either way, the Traveler hardly has the power to stop all of that. What he has the power for, is to make a new home when the dust settles. To fix all the problems around Teyvat (at least those which can be fixed with heroism and wisdom). To protect what needs protecting. To forge peace between the survivors - certainly between the Abyss Order and the surface dwellers, possibly with Celestia too.
Now that I think of it a little outside the box, the biggest feat of acceptance that the Traveler can accomplish, is to make peace between the Abyss, the Light Realm and Human Realm. It is said that light realm and human realm are compatible (even if it took Primordial One and his shades 40 years), but the Dark Realm (aka the Abyss) is not. But the three realms aren't human kingdoms or anything, they are more like different layers of reality, such as physics, biology and economy all affecting the same city. By the way, physics is more like Light Realm, and ecomomy is more like human realm, but we still don't quite understand what scientific discipline is like the Abyss. Maybe psychology?
I feel like their virtues start off as each foretold until like the archon war happened and somehow they changed their views. Think about it, what if Makoto WAS the one that was fulfilling that Imagination and what if venti used to be independent but then something changed him and he just stop relying only on himself! As someone said, Nahida herself wasn't really sacrificing anything but her previous form did. I repeat, her PREVIOUS FORM WAS THE ONE THAT DID THE SACRIFICING!! I bet that perhaps Mavuika isn't gonna fulfill a legacy because, just like something that happened in the past, she just changed! and perhaps the 6 tribe thing will change and they will do the good ol' "the tribes who have once hated each other have joined together and became one to defeat a common enemy" troupe.
You must mean the Cataclysm (about 500 years ago), not the Archon War (~4000-2000 years ago). Also, I feel that self-reliance is not as important aspect of Anemo. Jean, the acting grand master, certainly does what only she can do, but she also relies on the rest of the knights to actually fulfill her orders (except Klee, nobody expects Klee to not cause trouble). Likewise, Barbatos does what only Barbatos can do, and expects others to do what they don't need Barbatos for themselves. Or perhaps with a little motivation from the bard Venti.
@@kotarouinugami1745 For a short explanation of Anemo's independence: Anemo characters do what others cannot or will not do, usually gaining their Visions at their lowest point. For instance, Sayu nearly died on a mission, but right as she was passing out, she realized her true strength wasn't fighting but stealth. As she lost consciousness, she performed a flawless disappearing act. For another, both Sucrose and Kazuha have goals that only they can accomplish. Sucrose wants to create wonderland and Kazuha restoring his clan. No one else is going to grant their wishes, so they rise up from rock bottom. If you want a full explanation, my original theory is linked in the description. It goes over every Anemo character.
nearly none of the virtues fit the archons or the nations tho nahida didnt sacrifice anything , rukadevata was sacrified tho not rlly more like erased for the sake of existance itself , not exactly a sacrifice and the archon quest wasnt even about sacrifice it was about nahidas and peoples freedom and the sages being corrupt zhongli wasnt at all connected to charity , if anything he was selfish but that selfishness is sorta justified he made the people of lyiue get in a dangerous position nearly losing their lives, opposite of charity venti isnt exactly independent , he depends on the money he raises from being a bard and peoples charity for him and the archon quest again revolves around peoples freedom from the abyss , and especially dvalins hydro actually somewhat matches due to furina tho not the archon but kind of offered the diligance by the archon to make an oath to act as if she was the archon for 500 years tho the story doesnt rlly revolve around it since its mostly about a prophecy and a space whale which neither are oaths Ei was anything BUT imagination , she stuck with just one ideal , that eternity is everything , she refused to listen or imagine a different meaning of eternity than inazuma not changing at all and the story was all about that from what we know the cryo archon isnt exactly about belonging , she doesnt rlly care it wasnt a durin infection it was from the abyss, venti didnt need to recover from anything , he was at full power and you literaly confirm that the archon nor story of the nation has anything to do with em in mondstadt
I suggest watching the video again. It's specifically about how the Archons have failed to uphold their element's Virtue in the Archon Quests and how that helps us predict the next two regions.
That's one interpretation, though I personally find it a little too loose-fitting. In my element analysis series (linked in the description), I go over every character of the element type and find the similarities. For Anemo, they either have a goal no one else has the power and/or desire to do or they had a near-death experience that forced them to go beyond their limits. Venti's moment was when the unnamed bard died and he had to step up as Mondstadt's new God.

The power of an organizing idea is not what it includes, but what it *excludes*. Sadly, your theory excludes almost nothing (except maybe ironically, Xinyan). Ayaka and Ayato have more family and tradition connections than almost anyone else, yet neither is pyro. And that's just one of a bunch of counter-examples. Meanwhile, you label Xinyan as tradition while giving an *anti-tradition* story. Rock 'n Roll wasn't a Liyue tradition, its a novelty that Xinyan introduced. She may be the character *least* connected to tradition in the game.
Pyro is the element that has the torch passed on to them; they surpass and often fulfill the dream of their predecessor. My definition excludes the following playable characters: Alhaitham, Itto, Barbara, Beidou, Candace, Chiori, Chongyun, Clorinde, Collei, Cyno, Diona, Dori, Eula, Faruzan, Fischl, Freminet, Furina, Ganyu, Gorou, Kazuha, Kaeya, Ayato, Kaveh, Keqing, Kirara, Sara, Shinobu, Layla, Lisa, Lynette, Mika, Nilou, Ningguang, Noelle, Qiqi, Shogun, Razor, Rosaria, Sayu, Sethos, Shenhe, Heizou, Sigewinne, Sucrose, Childe, Tighnari, Venti, Wanderer, Wriothesley, Cloud Retainer, Xiao, Xingqiu, Miko, Yaoyao, Yunjin and Zhongli. Albedo, Baizhu, Charlotte, Jean, Ayaka, Mona, Nahida, Navia, Neuvillette and Kokomi could be seen as Pyro if their other qualities were ignored. 10 for and 56 against. For specifics, the Kamisatos have stronger virtues than their heritage provided. Ayato didn't inherit a wish, he's just maintaining what's already there. Ayaka has a much stronger sense of isolation, seeing as she is both a warrior born into a dainty role and a socialite locked away in her estate. As for Xinyan, her character story specifically states that she is starting a tradition. We can see this in the fact that she's altering Liyue's culture through her influences in Yun Jin and other artists. To address the torch being passed, logically she must have learned rock n' roll somewhere. Either she is boosting a small, underground movement or expanding a foreign culture. There will always be some overlap in personalities. Characters would be incredibly boring otherwise. The strongest influence, the virtue that adhere to most, is the one recognized by whoever hands out Visions. What would you argue is the defining trait?
@@aetervespernoxch.6697 Starting a tradition is an anti-tradition story, because it requires a break from past tradition. And altering a culture is an anti-tradition story. (And you won't know its a tradition until later - founders of traditions are founders in retrospect). I mean, basically everybody who does something new is 'starting a potential tradition', and now we have literally everybody. (People who are doing things the old way, and people who are doing things a new way that might potentially become a tradition). Your theory does not exclude: Alhaitham (restores the traditions of the academy), Itto (his gang is his family, starts a bunch of traditions in events - beetle fighting tournaments, rock concert tours, etc...), Candace (inherits the Guardianship of Aaru Village - family and tradition), Chongyun (Comes from a family of exorcists, whom he exceeds by being so good that evil spirits flee at his approach. And his aspirations are about continuing that family tradition), Clorinde (pursues the traditional role of the duelist in Fontaine, which she arguably elevates. Also following in the footsteps of her teacher), Ayato (family and tradition), Yun Jin (dedicated to traditional opera). As to archons, Zhongli embodies and maintains the traditions of Liyue in a way no other archon does for their nations, hard to see how he's excluded. That was 2 minutes and just grabbing ones that I knew were obviously related to family and tradition. (And I could easily go on - Nilou maintains and heightens the traditions of dance associated with the Goddess of Flowers, for example). Once you assign Xinyan to 'tradition' and Arlecchino to 'family', pretty much everyone fits into the box. I would argue that we don't know yet why people get the vision they get, but it has *nothing* to do with the archons, because Ei tells us flat out that archons don't decide who gets visions or which visions. A good theory would be one where you could take someone who knew nothing about Genshin impact, give them your definitions for who gets each type of vision, and give them character backstories, and they could assign near 100% of characters to the right vision type based on that information. Just so stories about why characters who have a pyro vision got that pyro vision are ad hoc and unpersuasive. Show me someone who doesn't know what the right answer is can get to the right answer through a theoretical schema (which requires being able to exclude the characters who don't belong to each vision from the ones that do), and that would be persuasive evidence.

I already explained how Xinyan continues and elevates the legacy of those who came before, whether from a small indie scene or traveling musician(s). To further explain those who do not fulfill legacies, Alhaitham goes against tradition by not using the Akasha. He did not restore tradition, he merely replaced a broken cog. Itto does not seek to accomplish another's dream. He seeks to accomplish his own dream of curing racism. Candace specifically upends tradition, often being chided by the village elders. Chongyun cannot live up to other exorcists' legacies as he can never exorcise. Clorinde goes against everything the Marechaussee Hunters stand for. Ayato, as I said before, does not inherit a wish. He is only maintaining what was already established. Yun Jin is changing what came before. Opera was once about grand spectacle where it is now becoming more personal stories. Zhongli had no one of note before him. Nilou practices dancing, which is against Sumeru's established culture. 'Tradition' and 'family' are subcategories used to explain where the legacy they continue originated. Arlecchino took over after her 'mother' and fulfilled the wish of her sister Clervie. I would argue we have enough evidence to piece it together. At this point, I have covered the seven elements, the Vision casings, the power distribution system and how wishes are deemed 'worthy'. With a sample size this large, we have plenty of data to work with. As for the archons giving them out, I have not made that claim. I have, however, said that the archons portion off slivers of their gnosis power for Visions. With Neuvillette, we can see this can be done well in advance, so it is not unreasonable to believe Makoto split some off in advance and almost got the amount right, seeing as Electro Visions stopped being gifted only recently. As for why, I think Makoto was under no illusions that her sister is kind of a girlfailure. If you want the TL;DW, the Visions are gifted to those who embody one of seven virtues: Legacy; to fulfill another's ambition, Diligence; to uphold an oath, Independence; to do what others cannot, Imagination; to reject normality, Sacrifice; to give unto others, Belonging; to seek acceptance, Charity; to become a pillar. I have simplified them into shortened, vague names, much like the seven deadly sins and I have not yet covered who decided on the virtues or why. If a character's wish has overlap with multiple virtues, the most relevant takes precedent. For instance, Hu Tao overlaps with Hydro in her duty to protect the balance of life and death. However, her wish was more specifically to continue her grandfather's work, hence Pyro. I hope that better explains it. I'll ask again, though. What do you think the connecting themes of the elements are?

As weve seen in your seven videos, the visions are based off these different kind of ambitions. but people can have overlapping ambitions right? Like my oc, carla, passionately spreads her mother's optimistic views within her community in the cold and distant land of snezhnaya, but is also commited to keeping the morale of the Resistance through a variety of ways. This is why her "original" Vision is Pyro, but she was able to resonate with a masterless Hydro Vision born out of the desire to keep up morale as well.

She is after the most difficult of all subjects when she uses her kamera: the truth. If she can capture a photo that perfects conveys the truth, she has succeeded. From her perspective, the world is seen through her kamera's viewfinder, a series of endless pictures.

I was SO confused when I saw Charlotte get a Cryo Vision instead of Hydro but it's starting to make a lot of sense!
Love geo element. So simple, so reliable. I started with Ning in 1.0, and now i consider myself as a proud geo main, having them all, some with cons even (i wish all of them could be c6, but unfortunately i'm not a whale, unreachable dream for me). My friend said that if i would reborn in the land of Teyvat i'd definitely have a geo element (a catalyst user as well).
I think Visions are self-powered. Just like Delusions. They contain a fragment of a god's power and knowledge, and so even if the Hydro throne is broken, they can still use their power. To continue phone analogy, Visions are like smartphones without an Internet connection. They still have a lot of useful functions, but not the power of the whole Internet. Just a couple of programs that were downloaded into there when they were created. Visions also seem to hold desire that has called them into being. So even after Kazuha's friend has died, his Vision still remembered his desire to stop Raiden' sword strike. But there doesn't seem to be an agreement about how much Visions (or separation from them) influence a person's personality. Maybe it's different for different individuals.
Visions are not given by archons, they're given by Celestia. Ei told us that way back in 2.x. However, as we can see from Furina's Vision, whoever has the element's Authority can also give out Visions. Furina's Vision has special details that hint towards Neuvillette having given her the Vision. According to Narzissenkreuz, they also bind you to Teyvat's fate system. And, as Venti described that those who receive Visions can ascend to godhood, I believe that Visions are simply Celestia's way of keeping an "eye" (in Chinese, Visions are "Eyes of God") on those most threatening to them.
Not necessarily "threatening". It seems that popular performers such as Barbara, Xinyan and Nilou also get Visions. Simply because somebody up there loves watching their performances. In fact, Ei did not mention Celestia or Heavenly Principles when describing how Visions are given out. It is possible that the Vision system is older than both, or at least independent from them.
[UPDATE FOR NEW CHARACTERS] To keep the Fortress healthy to the best of her ability. No matter who they are or what they've done to wind up in Meropide, Sigewinne relieves everyone's aches and pains. Mualani was a frail, but quick girl. When her tribe came under siege, she dedicated herself to the defense. To her, everyone must do their part in protecting their home, even if they can't fight.
You noticed that neuv says "i dont need gnosis power" but still think gnosis have dragon power?????????? by saying this, neuv confirmed that gnosis have NOTHING to do with dragon powers. Divine thrones and gnosis are completly different. gnosis are fragments of the third, their power therefore are also the thirds power. the third was not a dragon.
You misunderstand the video - the gnosis by itself doesn't have the power and is just a fragment of the third descender But it can channel the power of the dragons to the owner of the gnosis That's why e.g. Morax can no longer generate Mora without the Gnosis - he just doesn't have enough power. While Neuvillette already is a dragon and has his whole power - so he doesn't need a Gnosis to channel his own power lol And the power was before stolen and placed elsewhere by Celestia - so it seems this power cannot be just channeled via a Gnosis directly from a dragon that owns the power

It all comes down to reasoning. Dragons have absolute authority over Teyvat's elements. Celestia stole the dragons' power. The Archons receive authority over their element from the gnosis. After the Hydro throne was destroyed, Neuvillette was restored to full power and declared the gnosis was useless to him. It very much seems like the gnoses are like an antenna between Celestia's pool of powers and the Archons they recognized. With the other end of the line destroyed, the antenna served no purpose to Neuvillette. To address the Third Descender, Neuvillette brings up that they were, like the Traveler, incredibly in-tune with the elements. They were one being that could resonate with all seven elements of Teyvat. That is likely why they were used to construct the gnoses by Celestia and definitely-not-Nibelung. They would only have to control one being's lasting influence throughout the entire system instead of half a dozen. It's akin to charging seven phones using a power bar instead of seven wall outlets.
All adepti are capable of transforming between their original animal form and a human one. Unfortunately, it's unknown if the dragon he presents himself as was his original form and not just some artificial body he made to look more kingly.
A popular storybook portrays him as capable of changing his form freely, but when commenting on it, Zhongli says that in reality, there wasn't as much "gratuitous" shapeshifting. Cloud Retainer apparently can't transform freely, but can use makeup to great effect. But we do not know if the same is true of Rex Lapis.
I've always wondered what tied all the visions together and you are pretty much nailing it. I've watched all of your vision video theories and they're very succinctly explained. I like how you went through each character for explanation. While I think each character can definitely be allocated a different vision to the current one they possess due to overlapping characteristics that you mentioned, it is still a great effort on your part to select a firm and foundational aspect which links all characters to that particular vision. Your theories are great! I'd love to see more of them. If you ever play Honkai Star Rail, there are also 'Paths' which bear similar a resemblance to vision-holders and I would definitely love to see what you think would link them all together to the characters. Honestly tho u are 100% idk its seems logical to me. For fontaine its clearly an occeanid. And all its passed archon were one For sumeru a leaf/twig thats Nahida and Rhukadevatta as they are Irminsul's avatars For Inazuma, yes thats Raiden. The drums and the fact that she herself says "im the very incarnation of lightning" so a drum wearing lightning aint that weird Snezhnaya looks like a crown to me, and the Tsaritsa is feminin for Tsar and I think its a King/Queen ? Or maybe Emperor/Empress ... i dont remember which one Liyues always bugged me... i wonder why it is scare shaped For Natlan ?? Who knows
Tsar is the Russian version of the name Caesar, as in the Roman emperor. It typically refers to a Russian emperor that is greater than other Russian emperors.
All monarchs of Russia from Ivan the Terrible to Peter the Great were tsars. Peter the Great loved all Western things, so he changed his main title to be Emperor. Which was seen as just a translation of the title. But it remained common to call the Russian Emperor "tsar" for a long time after that. In fact, it can still be used now. It is technically correct, because Russian Emperors had many feudal titles, and among other things they were tsars of some lands, such as Kazan.
Cryo is the element of both Love and Grief (who are homophonics in Japanese and Chinese). The Vision holder are stuck between two path that both bring them joy and pain
I dont think geo users are ‘often handicapping’ themselves though. Thats just how it seems from a story standpoint from our perspective as players. If you look at it another way geo users instead seem to share a knack for being supporters in the background. For noelle she is a knight just simply without the title. As you say, she appears to carry more of the burden for most of the knights of favonius. She isnt handicapped in her ambition, shes just abit too shortsighted to see how shes already basically achieved and still vontinues to fulfil the contract she made with herself to help others in need whether it be with or without the title as a knight. Same for gorou, he isnt handicapped from his goals as a general just because he puts himself at the face of danger for his people. If anything he solidifies his desires by doing so as it is his job as general. Same goes for every other geo character. Visions merely go to those with particularly strong desires. Not that the video doesnt point out similarities in the wielders but i think more could be said than just geo is the element of users who often are too busy to help others than themselves. Tbh you could even say being a geo user means supporting others’ desires
This one interests me so much, as Dottore is leaked to be Cryo. He is someone who is torn between Sumeru and Snezhnaya, his homeland and his future, desperately wishing to return and yet exiled from it. The Akademiya's most brilliant student of all time, yet not recognised for it. The most important member of the Fatui, yet disliked by most. Someone with a noble goal (to liberate humanity), yet achieved through at times ignoble means, much like the Tsarista he is so devoted to. At once desperate to belong, yet forging his own path. And someone who has similarly lost everything (from Sohreh to his place at the Akademiya, his homeland), having to build a new name and even then, he has lost even more in service of the Fatui (the research, his own segments, etc.) And someone who loves, underneath his cold exterior (despite declaring himself an enemy of Sumeru, he at no point places them in any danger at least during the AQ, and even allows for the purification of Irminsul, and doesn't take Nahida's gnosis by force or even attempt to, making him the only Harbinger not to do that where an Archon was involved [Scaramouche couldn't because Ei didn't have a body anymore and he knew that Miko had it.]) I wonder what Genshin will have for his story, all I know is that Zandik's will be great. ❤
